Rules Verificationposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
We had a disagreement in our last game where the Japanese player moved his destroyer into Calcutta, India sea zone at the end of his turn 3 without declaring war. The United States declared war on their next move. On the British/ Indian turn 3 and the Indian player wanted to move his battleship and cruiser out of the hostile sea zone and attack another sea zone. The rules seem clear to me that you have only 2 options, 1. Stay and battle the Jap destroyer or 2. Leave the hostile sea zone and cannot move into another hostile sea zone. Right? The other 2 rules in the rulebook are for troop transports correct? Thanks for the assistance!

@IWillNeverGrowUp Thank you for replying! I would be all over that remake! I can pay you for the rules and cards plus the shipping if you are willing to part with them? I hope we can keep in touch and updated on your effort to get the game back out there? Thank you so much, Todd

RE: Updated Rulebook Postedposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
A must for the allies to stand a chance of winning. The Turkish strait has got to be closed! The Italians can do a commando landing in the Caucasus and kill off a few Soviet pieces then the Germans go and finish off the Caucasus before the Soviets go again. Totally a necessary rule! The scramble and escort rule works too as the U.S. and Brits can bomb Germany time after time with just the antiaircraft “1” rolls to fear!

RE: Map clarityposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
It is dry easy for the English to transport units from England to Leningrad and Archangel in one move. Some of my group were whining about it. I think it goes further to help the Allies protect from the ’ Squeeze Russia first plan of action than either of the 1942 editions. I believe the Anniversary edition stands with Global '40 as the best Axis and Allies game out there! And is also playable in one sitting or afternoon. Love it!

Map clarityposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Does the top tip of England supposed to be inside or sea zone next to Norway? The guys in the group are whining about it totally helping the allies. Or is it a map errata? Thanks in advance!

Thank you sir! Is this updated with all of the errata included? Thanks!

RE: Air Base & Naval Bases (HBG, Shapeways?)posted in Marketplace
I used Litko for my airbase and naval yards. Big Blue anchors for naval yards and an airport tower for my airbases… They stand out and are impossible to miss. Just have to glue them together when you get them and let them set a while and you are good to go. Since I did the switch to these there are no longer complaints that they didn’t see them. Look great too! Hope this helps!

RE: Portable Piece Storage Tips?posted in Customizations
I use Artbin’s storage bin’s I found at Joann Fabrics for my pieces. Large boxes with 5 rows and 3 big compartments up front. No more trolling through all of the pieces looking for the one piece you need. If you don’t have a Joann Fabrics near you, you can check out Artbin’s.com… They come with 20 dividers as well. Bought the country battle labels from HBG and put them on the top of the box. Hope this helps!
