IMO this strat dies in Global; USA’s capital is not W USA in that one obviously, USA makes 3x as much when not at war, and USA can bring plenty over from the East. Perhaps Germany’s actions can really disable USA, but the money and reinforcement situation is so different from Pacific.

And remember, if you want a G40 partner I’m interested.  I think one of the best qualities of G40 is its multiplayer play.  After all, US/China/UK doesn’t look as overwhelming if you’re not doing both UK and US…

It might work to just go to the first post and download the installer and re-install battlemap - I don’t remember.  If that doesn’t give you the 1940 module, you should be able to find it without too much trouble.  If not, let me know.

After a year of preferring the Axis (and getting them every single time), I’m starting to like the Allies’ chances again.  Especially because of this game, my game with Lucky, and my tournament game with JWW.

But yeah, I think the 14 IPC investment in a carrier on G1 is usually worth it, to prevent the Allies from just mowing down the cruiser and transport and then transporting at will….

Life is OK.  six months later my family are back together, but the stress of leaving our hometown and all our friends and parents is really hard.  It makes games pretty low on my list of to-dos.
