Lately I’ve become a “weekend player” :p
Working harder than usual, too tired to play top competition on weeknights lately :-| Am looking to move my games today,
I’d better eat my eggs first

Whew, order is restored!
That’s iron-clad, and so helpful, thanks!

@dawgoneit Thank you for saying something,
Players are able to change the views of the sheet.
The filter was on, so it wasn’t full.
Select “filter views” up there at top right and select “all players” or “only active players” and you should be there. -

Someone signed up for the 2025 playoffs today, which prompts me to announce that
Signup period for 2025 playoffs is open! Check minimum games played rules - if you have a “playoff spot” ranking in the spreadsheet that means you’ve qualified already. Qualifications must be met at the end of 12/31.
Signup must be in to me by 12/31, if I’m creating brackets 1/1 you generally won’t be able to enter the fracas of
First round of playoffs all happening January 2026!
Best way to sign up is private message me because your post on the forum could be overlooked

Krieghund only, please:
A league player’s question is blowing my mind a little right now, please confirm if TripleA and most all of us league players are wrong on a naval base rule:
I checked the rulebook for him and found these 2 rules. Are there any others?
Here is what I wrote the questioner:
Page 16, rule for “naval bases”
“All ships beginning their movement phase from a sea zone serviced by an operative friendly naval base gain 1 additional movement point”
That rule is stated in the Phase 2: Combat movement section so this particular paragraph is meant for combat movement. Your question is about noncombat movement. I go to the noncombat movement section and it’s silent about bonus movement for naval. The rule on page 16 references page 28, where it says “all sea units beginning their movement from a sea zone serviced by an operative friendly naval base gain 1 additional point of movement range”
The wording “beginning their movement” or “beginning the movement phase” makes me think we’ve all missed this.
If you take over a territory that contains an operable naval base, do your ships in the adjacent seazone(s) to the new-to-you naval base gain the +1 bonus movement for the noncombat movement phase of your power’s turn? So, like, immediately? You don’t have to control the territory with the base from the beginning of your turn?
Thanks in advance

by the way, when are you going to get into the ptv ring? we could use the extra competition, and it’s a fun map with a few cool extra rules!
Not happening. I did play a team game many years ago, so I’m a bit familiar. I’m not smart enough to go back and forth between versions with those scrambling rules - I’d get confused. Have been playing the old Classic game instead, since @The_Good_Captain got me up to speed on all the rules.
I think you should try playing Classic. You’d win a lot of games, fast, and it would raise you overall rating! If you win… -

Really nice to have the notice,
No problem at all, I often don’t feel up to making a G40 move on weeknights -

@MrRoboto has anticipated your thirst for Axis vs Allies knowledge. You should look through the “statistics” tab in the ELO spreadsheet

RE: Post League Game Results Hereposted in League
I noticed the single player query tab has broken again since all have access to it and it only takes one to break it.
Anyway, wanted to alert you that it is restored. Thanks to programmer @MrRoboto this incredible sheet allows you to simply type in any player name and see all-time complete history for that player.

Don’t feed the animals!
@axis-dominion rips off 7 straight wins and restores the stratosphere ELO
Total number of games may be in a lull, but dare I say we have the best league A&A player with us now. That’s better than having 30 games a month finished league-wide but if we were missing the top 5 or 10 from the past.
The top players are still active! Indeed, we have 4 of the top 5 all time active in the past year, and each have 7+ games finished in 2025. That’s remarkable.

I appreciate the thoughts and initiative,
It will take some pretty serious interest ala BM4 or PtV to get me to add another G40 map version -
RE: League General Discussion Threadposted in League
There were 16 in October and 23 in September, so the 11/1 to 12/6 lull isn’t necessarily the new normal.

RE: League General Discussion Threadposted in League
I gotta be honest, we just had by far the weakest month since G40 was in its first year. In November there were only 6 games finished across all versions, and only 1 in the first 6 days of December. Maybe everyone’s taking a break at the same time, and/or maybe the games are more competitive and longer.
But there’s still plenty of action, and the playoffs continue to have VERY strong players in all 3 versions.
Classic has been added as a tracked league version of the game, though it doesn’t seem to have really taken hold. I’m back into Classic some, and maybe when I’m finally done with a big double elimination tournament, I’ll continually have 1 going. Pretty fun to return to the roots after actually learning the correct rules, thanks to resident EXPERT @The_Good_Captain -

I’m not able to post directly from Triple A this afternoon, maybe I need to reboot or something.

Pages 23 and 25 of the Europe manual,
In phase 6: collect income, any national objectives and bonus income (page 25 of Europe manual) are collected “if the condition for that bonus has been met…”
The conditions would have been met in phase 5: Mobilize new units, when German ground unit(s) were placed on Egypt.
So then in phase 6: Collect income, Germany has met the condition for having at least 1 German land unit in Egypt and collects 5 more IPCs

I was unable to post the finished turn, and I went to my MARTI folder to make sure I was online, play by forum…
My last MARTI e-mail is 11/25, I guess that’s “only” 11 days ago and sometimes there are big delays. I made a test roll in a different game and it didn’t come through.
Anyway, I know I was in play by forum mode, the dice surely were live, and since I can’t conveniently post from TripleA right now, I upload the save file.
Sorry about the delay, thanks for your patience
