@elche asked me and got me back into Classic a couple years ago. It takes a bit to learn the rules, but how nostalgic, and fun to figure out the strategies after playing a ton of AA50 and global 40 for so many years.

No. It’s like I play UK Europe, he plays Pacific. I play Russia Europe, he decides Siberia. I play US Europe, he Pacific. With, of course, agreement on how much to allocate to a theater
So some of our turns will take a bit longer than if 1 player controlled all USA and all UK, but it willbe much more like 1 of us playing P40 and the other E40.
We have distinct ownership, not just putting our heads together and controlling every power concurrently, which would almost defeat the purpose of team/allied play

Anyway, I will be making the UK move (with booper’s orders on UK Pac) with possible delay for booper consult
I left my power cord at work yesterday and only had enough battery power in the hotel to play Russia 9 in a ripping Classic tournament game.
I think I’ll remember it tonight because I suffered without it

I’m in a 20+ rounder myself right now, and for the past 7 rounds or so I think both me and @oysteilo would have been happy to just resign to the other because it’s been exhausting. So maybe there’s a little bit of that going on here.
I don’t know your personalities, unfortunately, so I just suggest you guys sleep on this some more. How many hours have been invested in the game? It’s understandable to just be tired and something like this just an opportunity to end it all, but just looking at map and TUV for a minute, seems you’ve got a real barn-burner going here and no A&A fan wants to watch it end on an OOL deal.
@AndrewAAGamer And I suggest that you strongly consider adopting the bidding method that occurred to me when starting the playoffs this year.
@pacifiersboard liked the idea and we did an open bid, where each bid we stated what the placements with that bid would be.
If you’re bidding 50-60 or whatever, I wonder if you would really enjoy the face up cards better before agreeing to their bid.
I am not sure enough about how this ends up.
I will not record a result until I hear again from each of you whether you are resigning or accepting a resignation. Since you’ve had some days to maybe think about it, I wonder what the thoughts are now.
I’m not in a hurry to start the next game, I’m having trouble keeping up with the 3 I have, so take your time.
I think @Arthur-Bomber-Harris said he isn’t too interested in continuing in the playoff anyway, time constraints. That’s fine, and I can understand the resignation, but I don’t want to chalk up a loss to someone who technically won? the game.
I won’t go on and on, I’m an outsider to the game, but I want to float the idea of a “draw”, where @GeneralDisarray advances because ABH willingly forfeits the opportunity to advance in the playoffs, and maybe this game result isn’t recorded in the permanent standings.
Again, I just don’t like the idea of recording a win for General D and a loss for ABH unless for example you were both to say ABH was losing the game anyway.
It would be nice to have some kind of agreement. To me the dream scenario is you reset the battle to the point after ABH saves all subs, but the game is yours (plural)
In case it helps you understand where I’m coming from, I WOULD be happy to conclude this and record ABH loss and General D win, IF General D, um, accepts that

2v2 game and Classic game played last night, so will not play those again until after this G20 will be done. I haven’t started looking at it yet
I’m not going for historically accurate, you should be careful with that in Axis and allies. But if Larry can throw a Chinese fighter in the game that fights with Chinese troops because of the US flying tigers, then gamerman can put 1 Russian fighter on East Poland to simulate thousands of Russian fighters that were there in 1940, for a 3 game tournament.
I hope you enjoy the alternate setup overall. It was meant to be enjoyed.

Great that you knew the rule mika, and I won’t get upset if you do it out of order when it totally doesn’t matter, I mainly wanted to make sure you knew about it before it could potentially be an issue.
