I’ve been on the wrong end so many times but the misfortune for the Allies on the US attack of Midway was a key time for the luck to reverse.

The dice hold up well on the Japanese counter that was then possible, and we have a reverse Midway. And an awful lot of fighting to go

The Japs now have but 5 warships on the board, and there are 3 Allied warships in the Pacific. The US also has 5 planes ready to take off from California, and while the Japs have 12, there are still 5 fronts, though each are fairly weak at the mo

It was the addition of naval combat in triplea that I will probably be editing again after checking barnee s point

TripleA doesn’t require it, but the rulebook does:

SBR attacks first,
Naval battles supporting amphibious assault and the ensuing assault second,
All other battles after that…

So Kenya was supposed to be rolled before Hunnan

Myself included, many players don’t realize this rule is actually in the rulebook, and yes it does sometimes make a difference, potentially a huge difference, so all must observe the rule…

Realized Sierra Leone is supposed to be true neutral but when I made my turn I thought it was British like the UHD map

@barnee I think this is a known issue and has probably already been fixed, but just in case, notifying you now

I mean, sure, many times it’s a hit to a battleship anyway. I do understand what you mean about it often not being an issue.

But I’ve found that it too often is an issue. It’s nowhere near 90% in my experience.

Regardless,

1. league rules have been amended a bit,
2. the edit mode solution is starting to be spread, and most importantly,
3. various players discovered they had assumed Triple A was following the rules and consequently learned how the game is supposed to be played. And it is a significant difference to game play and strategy, to be sure.

@FlyingBadger will probably tell you this, but he’s talking PtV ELO, not overall

As @Argothair is saying, he’s just now getting into PtV while @FlyingBadger has 21 games under his belt

@wizmark is 5-4 with a 1538 in PtV, so almost in badger’s desired range but not quite

Badger only has 3 PtV games completed since 1/1/23 so doesn’t have a ton of recent experience, most is years ago

Argothair hasn’t played in the league since 2019

I recommend you play Argothair and teach him some PtV the HARD way!!! lol

It has come to my attention that a player who uses a different link to the ELO standings spreadsheet than the one posted in the League rules has a different, and lesser, experience.

A link posted by MrRoboto in his unveiling thread was one such link,
That did not give the user the ability to enter a name into the “results” tab.

This is a very important feature that all are intended to have access to, the ability to type in your own or any other gamer’s name and see their complete detail history in the league, across all versions, which now includes Classic!

Use the link in the League rules, to ELO rankings, towards the top of the rules.

I fell off the conveyor belt this week, more strenuous work week than usual.
I didn’t forget, will try to make the move today or tomorrow I hope

I think you’re pretty busy too and the moves in this game are tough so I’m hoping you feel about the same way I do, it’s a relief when it’s the other’s turn

It’s such a great and challenging game. I’m pretty sure I’ve never fought hard over Argentina before, with Chile having a 2-front war. I know others get into these wild games almost regularly, like AD and Adam, but not me. It’s been a fun ride and seems we’ve got a ways to go
