      @Krieghund:

      An IC in a Chinese territory doesn’t count as a “Chinese unit” for purposes of restricting Chinese reinforcement placement.  While China does control the IC, it can’t use it, so it’s not a “unit” as far as China is concerned.

      @Veqryn:

      I believe Manchuria would go to Germany if Germany liberates it from the Chinese.

      Correct, though actually Germany would be capturing it, not liberating it.

      I actually has something like this happen. Russia had been overrun and an italian tank took manchuria. I asked and the territory went to italy.

      No, the address in not correct. As you say, Complejo de la Moncloa is correct (I also checked the official page)

      But there is not “Republic of Spain” since 1939. That country doesn’t exist now. Spain, now, is a kingdom and her king is Juan Carlos I. That should say “Kingdom of Spain”. It’s funny because it’s not the first time: Jeb Bush also made the same mistake in a conference in Spain a couple of years ago, and in a tennis championship in Australia, they put the republican national music (Himno de Riego) instead the used now (Marcha Real). Imagine the face of Spannish tennists  :lol:

      And Rodriguez Zapatero is not the Prime Minister. He is the President of the Government (even if he makes basically the same than UK Primer Minister)

      Is also funny that such errors sometimes happen in Spain. Not the republican"" error, but sending letters to a non-existant minister or to a place where the official building was there 5 years ago but now is in another place  :-D

      If Egypt is uncounterable, Germany could send 3 tanks to Ken on G2 and land some planes in Egypt, putting the SAf IC in a big bind. For a SAf IC, I like EM’s setup more (it’s floating around somewhere in the Revised section).

      If you can counter Egypt, I think a SAf IC is not worth it I think. Landing in Alg, putting your planes in WRu and eliminating the German Med fleet on UK 2 is a better way of securing Africa if that’s what you really want.

      You could probably get a good price for the original cartridge.

      I just picked up the DS version.  Pretty classic.

      Where I play it is KGF so the KJF is not really expected.  The big deal with the carrier + fig is you drop 6 units.  On round 2 if the Jpan navy is not united in sz 60 I love to push wake.  On the turn that I do push it I just buy all figs (to counter as already suggested).  The reason I push wake is to force Japan to defend Japan from there you can move to a bunch of cool places =D

      I like the China mod Idea, would like to give it a try.
      However, I think these might be some possible options for the House rule.

      1.  China can only purchase Infantry and artillery,  perhaps add a new unit, Cavalry!  at 2,1,2,4?
      2.  U.S. is and Russia can fly aircraft to chinese capital, on subsequent turn they become chinese.
      3.  Japan should start with a bomber and an extra sub or destroyer in 41 and an extra carrier and f2 fighters in 42 to balance this out.

      To buy IC’s in China which will be useless for Japan anyway, a stupid tactic, if the Jap player wastes money like that the axis will surely lose anyway.

      From a technically point of view it does seem like this is a glitch from the game designers, although we can’t say for sure until the 23. October.

      @Jermofoot:

      That limit on entering events is probably a good idea, but I bet it would have very little effect overall. I doubt there are more than a handful of people, and probably only from larger countries, that it could apply to.  But it also might mean limiting a country’s ability to win medals.  So I dunno.

      Of course it would only have a small effect, but it would give a chance to a few more people who have spent their entire young lives training for a moment that only comes every 4 years.

      Is there anything currently showing new episodes on prime time?  I thought that wouldn’t be happening for a month or so.

      You could be right. I don’t watch the local networks’ prime time lineups. But I assumed that things were different this year because of the writers strike and also because I watch Monk and Psych on USA Network and they have been airing new episodes for over a month now.

      Ugh… I thought I was safe of this guy in an USA forum… but no… I saw him in the forum (at the right, in the place where usually is a russian girl) and I fear he reached even you  :cry: I hope this is only for we spaniards who are in the forum and I’m the only seeing him …

      This guy, Rodolfo Chikilikuatre, goes for Spain in the Eurovision song contest  :-P This is the scariest piece of crap we presented for Spain in the very existence of the contest (not a good contest anyway but…  :-P ). The scariest thing is he has BIG chance of winning  :cry: Boy, from late May, I’ll be from Argentina … wait … he’s from Argentina … OK, I’ll pick Andorra  :-D

      Seriously, this guy don’t represent us Spaniards… and surely not me  :-P

      It’s “Canadian Shield” on Caspian Sub.

      The original writeup was “Operation Hollywood” by a non-Caspian sub player.

      3 Tanks and an AA gun defending?

      Heck, I’ll give you two German tanks for them.  I can build 8 on round 1, you can build 4 on round 1.  THink I can better afford it then you can.

      2 German tanks and 3 inf to make it safe? Or 2 inf 2 arm to attack Ukraine?

      You can afford 8 tanks, but you probably don’t want to build that way, because you will quickly run out of cheap inf which can be better defensively spread (because you have more of them) and traded on the frontlines.

      You need to add up the total Unit IPC value for each side (land and naval, not including ICs). If it’s a tie at the end of the Russian turn (or if the Axis is ahead), then the Axis is very likely to win the game.  You can do this automatically if you are using a program like aBattleMap.

      I developed a statistical model for predicting game outcomes which is pretty accurate (100% accuracy on my small sample of games, starting on round 5):
