I just realized that this is a very old topic. Are the Appleton guys still playing? In case you guys ever make it farther South, we try to play monthly in Kenosha.
Yesterday we had a great A&A global event, here are a few pics from it (we even had a guy from Illinois attend as well).

@Xlome_00 - You missed a good one! You didn’t have to worry about being the new guy, you could have been on my team. I was the new guy for this A&A Global match and my teammates were very helpful when I needed advice. I played as ANZAC and FEC (Far East Command) and we were able to achieve an allied victory! Here are some pics of yesterday’s glorious event. We’re planning on having another one in and around 4 weeks if you or anyone else are interested.

@Xlome_00 I checked out SS GEN’s table yesterday, it’s nothing short of awesome! I think Hitler would be jealous of the “General’s Fortress” as it competes with the wolf’s lair. Haha

SSGEN mentioned hosting an event at his bunker in Kenosha on August 17th, a Saturday. I think we should shoot for that date if it works for you and your friend?

@SS-GEN I think he meant face-to-face in Kenosha based on his earlier comment, “Maybe a group Kenosha game is in order?”

First time here…my name is Daniel and I’m from Wisconsin. I have fond memories playing Axis and Allies classic when I was a younger. I recently ordered the Anniversary edition and am looking to exchange ideas and minds with other WW2 history-loving gaming enthusiasts and war strategists. Recently I have played a lot of Hearts of Iron 3 (on PC) but I long for the nostalgia of playing A&A again. Nothing beats the excitement of playing a game in person with fellow history buffs. Hit me up if you’re in or around Kenosha, WI (SE corner of Wisconsin, between Milwaukee and Chicago) and are interested in playing. Would be nice to find others passionate about the game and history since my family isn’t as much as I am (I’m trying to get my nephew into it).

I’m also in Kenosha, WI and am interested in playing A&A again. It’s been years since I’ve played the original AA but I’ve recently ordered the latest Anniversary 2nd edition which will arrive on Wednesday… Since my family isn’t into history as much as I am, it would be nice to watch and/or play with other peeps and get back into A&A.

Lately I have been playing the PC game Hearts of Iron 3 but it’s just not the same as playing a WW2 game with fellow history buffs in person. I’ve never played the global version you mentioned but would love to watch a game and learn from you more seasoned players sometime , I could even start as an Axis minor if you need a fill-in. Hit me up if interested.

Others outside of Kenosha, I’m open to traveling to Milwaukee or Chicago if the time/date is right to play a game.
