      @witt You did a nice job of placing your units to retake W Prussia and covering your other provinces. G has such crazy shaped provinces. Cav with mobile tech in Nassau can reach Paris, and Hanover to W Prussia. Cav in Galicia can reach Russia and eastern Germany. Undefended or lightly defended provinces can be recaptured in force.

      UK would have to make a serious buildup, and even then G could easily match it. UK has more pressing areas of concern in Russia and holding off Turkey, which interestingly, has almost as many units and TUV as G or A.

      When I was CP in last game, Serbs sank the Turk CA & tt, not allowing any chance of amphib invasion. Now that I am UK, F & S CA’s both sank attacking and failing to sink even the Turk CA. Now I’m having to spend almost everything on ships to defend the fleet without allied support. And trenches for Cairo, because Tobruk was left undefended, So I reduce my defenders to retake it, leaving Cairo vulnerable. So no transports for Eng Chan.

      @Colt45554 et al: It would be nice to see the dice stats. If you posted the save game from the end of your turn, rather than the next player’s turn, or even better, copy and post the “view turn summary” by clicking on the right-hand side of the screen, it would show the dice stats.

      @elrood Your Arabs outgunned the Turks, again.
      Now that you’re down to your last Bedouin, it’s time to disclose your secret weapon.
      “May the fleas from a thousand camels infest your armpits.” That’s right, trained fleas were the secret weapon, trained to detect Turkish sweat.
      To show how forward thinking we are, we used both male and female fleas. But, of course, they served in separate battalions.

      The Christmas Truce of 1914: In Flanders, near Ypres, a spontaneous eruption of feelings arose on Christmas morning. German troops began singing Christmas carols and displaying bits of evergreen. The Brits began to sing, Unarmed German and then British gathered in no-man’s land to exchange food, cigarettes and play soccer. This never happened again during the war.

      @Witt I hope this isn’t a trend in tech dice. Italy and UK each bought only 1 dice, but each got a tech on the first round. :cry: While I bought 3 and got nothing.

      You got me Witt. I thought, why land my troops in Tua, when they could enjoy Tahiti. I didn’t think about UK being able to bypass my fleet and land from the other SZ that Tahiti shares. You were lucky that I didn’t win that battle, to go on to Mexico.

      Apparently, Rasputin is leading the Russians in the west and Zhukov’s father led them in the east. And Conrad, commander of the Austrians in real life, could never deliver on his promises. Apparently, Laurel and Hardy led the Communist forces.

      Two failed opportunities. if it weren’t for bad luck, we’d have no luck at all. Russia alone has as many tech as all 4 CPs.

      @witt Thanks Witt (and Colt) for making this game interesting by finding novel ways to combat the CP. It’s an unconventional shift, a complex mating dance. UK reduces its garrison at Cairo, following Kitchener’s path to Khartoum, instead of the traditional convoying from India, to contain the Germans in Africa. Leaving the defense of Cairo to France. Yet tying up the Turks, by harassing the Arabian coasts.

      You were lucky to get a tech, but again, not the bunkers that you probably wanted for N. Rhod. Third time will be a charm. Getting carriers (assume you wanted discounted ships) and using French figs to defend them was like making lemonade out of lemons. Earlier, your army was between the Germans and Cape Town, now they aren’t. But you managed to match the G troop buildup in Africa. This will be an interesting contest.

      Did you kick your habit for naval builds, or are you just in temporary rehab?

      I calculated the odds in GEAfr at around 31%, assuming my one-on-one attack in N Rhod knocked out a cav defending at 1. Perverse dice, I won the other battle, an inf & LF against a trench, also defending at 1. The trench missed twice, but the UK cav hit on first round. So the UK cav and another behind it could both participate in the GEA battle. Battle calc gave huge change in odds for such a small item. The odds went up to about 45% including a 3rd bombarder, which only fires once. If I had just kept my 2 units in GEAfr, the odds for UK would have dropped noticeably.
