      I dont think that I fully understand your question about Russia. They have only moved into Finland. The axis did surrender after six rounds however.

      Wow, I never even noticed that before. But I dont have any of the green Japanese cruisers. Very strange.

      A stalemate exists in China. The Soviets moved their 18 infantry back up to threaten the Japanese but have never attacked. Japan was forced to garrison Manchuria. They need those infantry in china as they have mostly expensive units facing the Chinese and Indians. Japan never made it to the Indies as the U.S. had major fleets moving west. The Japanese did defeat an American fleet in the Marianas but with all that income they will be coming again.

      After eleven rounds the stalemate in China has been broken and the allies are pushing the Japanese back.  The Indian westward march has been checked by Italy. Japan has broken the Siberian armies and is starting to claim Soviet territory.  12/27/10

      Italy controls most of Africa after six rounds. U.K. has put up a stubborn resistance so far. But now have retreated to S. Africa. German planes have helped but may return to assist in Barbarossa.

      Africa does not need much explanation. Italy rules. They are currently blocking the Indians and if the Soviets keep coming south the Germans will take advantage on the eastern front. 12/27/10

      No worries  :-D  It’s in a bunch of other threads, but here’s the latest Alpha+1.  Frankly though I like Alpha+ the best so far.  I think it’s the most balanced.  Haven’t tried +1 yet though.

      I also used the old school fighters and red but merely painted the wing tips red.  If I make anymore I am going to copy your idea.

      Did you paint silver “+” symbols or mini swastikas on the Germans? My modeling skills aren’t that good.  I might get a “+” to look ok.

      I have put crosses on some of my non-A&A German units but have done nothing with the original black units so far.

      First game of global after six rounds. We averaged about one hour for each round. Two players and first global for each of us. I am having trouble posting more than one photo with each post.       No british land forces in South Africa?  I tend to buy at least 2 ground forces down there every turn.

      Soviet Battleship survived?  If I’m Germany I wouldn’t let it past denmark- hence it is going to probably die.

      German Carrier in the med?  Interesting.  How does Italy have its Battleship?  Did you buy one or did the UK not do the Taranto raid?

      I purchased the German carrier with two fighters to help Italy defend the Med. No the U.K. did not do the Taranto raid. On G1 took out one battleship, one cruiser, two destroyers and two transports of U.K. Also captured France, Normandy and Yugoslavia. Walked into Finland and Bulgaria on non-combat move. Had 71 IPCs for the second round. I do not know how much more aggressive I can be. I did not lose any planes on G1 but only had 1 sub left.

      Allies surrendered after the 9th round as the Axis were out producing them in IPCs. Japan was the big dog with 70 IPCs. Germany and Italy combined had about 85 IPCs. Germany is a real challenge to play as they are really boxed in. Taking Africa seemed to be the key but Japan clearing the pacific of the U.S. fleet and starting to put pressure on the Soviets was a big help.

      OK, I think I just woke up. You must have been referring to my photo of the ongoing A&AG1940 game when you mentioned colors. If so I think that I had some white AA guns that have not been painted yet, some ICs that I painted in Italian and Russian colors, some light blue infantry for true neutrals, some green infantry for allied friendly neutrals, some blue TBFs for the U.S. tac bombers and one unpainted metal sturmovic for the Soviet tac bomber. I placed the neutral infantry in the original game setup so that if they were attacked it would save time placing units later. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

      Ah it’s ok I’m looking forward too the Mediterranean game.

      I just have a problem sinking a piece without even rolling a dice.
      Same thing here.
      You must rolling die to sink a warship escorted or not.

      The only long range sortee by unescorted battleships that I have ever heard of are the German convoy raiders of WW II. I just feel that there should be some penalty for a player doing such a foolish thing in AA. Maybe a one shot attack and then submerge is enough.

      Either subs attacking unescorted capitol warships get 1 roll, if a 1-2 ship sunk on 1st hit. if sub misses,sub is considered submerged,breaks off attack,but if it stays in sea zone to try again next turn or follows same shipsinto another sea zone to try again next turn, destroyer and cruisers detection roll is upped to 1-4 becouse sub is known to be activly prowling area.

      Well if a player let his warship alone, it could be destroyed.
      Sub must continue his attack after the first round of combat or warship alone can escape after the first round. - But I prefer the first option-.

      Well what I was thinking is that Germany gets about 10 in W. Germany so that an invasion of W. Germany is inherently difficult. Then Germany can build them in coastal territories. Perhaps make-your-own and Italy (or Japan) could build/start with some?

      Yea well that was in 2004. BTW i am still looking for the files. But the order of battle is totally correct as well as the air power ratios.

      Just tweek the existing inventory of units and alter as needed.
