      :? Can anyone tell me why the germans used their heaviest and most fuel hungry tank in this attack? Was the Tiger II all that they had left at the time? With so many streams to cross and depending on captured fuel to keep going it does not make sense! Would the Panther G have been a better option?

      The Marines have 82 national championships. The ss have none. They were disqualified for illegal recruiting.

      WOTC does sell extra pieces! Very reasonable too. Its called Axis & Allies 1942.

      That won’t help me get bunkers and Italian pieces.

      So sorry Brain. I guess you rill have to rait on FMG.

      @Yoper:

      WotC has a way of changing things after it leaves our hands.

      Is that when they insert all the typos, broken rules, and slash the amount of pieces down.

      Can anyone give me a good reason why they don’t sell extra pieces?

      This is why FMG should make their own WWII game.

      One step at a time my friend.  Once we complete all the units we can think of…  we will be in a better position to start making games.

      Oh I realize that. I am just dreaming.

      Dream on Brain. Thats a good dream.

      @FieldMarshalGames:

      But that is not what we wanted to see.  Sex is everywhere on TV and the internet.  Has little relevance to WW2 History.

      People have sex all the time, in all wars…  that is why the human race is still here. We don’t need to see more of it on TV when it has no bearing on the story line or events.

      This series is really lacking when compared to BOB.

      Sad…  :-( :-( :?I agree 100%. I was hoping to see a little more of the history of the Marine Corps in the pacific.

      I may never play Axis&Allies again.

      Don’t kid yourself. You know you will.

      Your right Brain, I just had a fit of deep depression. I will probably play AA50 tomorrow. I have been playing a series of practice games of scenario #1 to see if I can find a way to fix the China problem.

    • RE: Easy fix for damaged carrier landing problem in AAP1940.

      @cressman8064:

      @Fishmoto37:

      Here is an easy fix for the problem of not being able to land planes on carriers after one hit. Carrier takes one hit and combat lasts one round then it cannot land planes as per the rule book. If combat lasts two rounds then carrier can land planes because damage control parties have had time to make temporary repairs. If carrier takes the hit in the second round then it must survive a third round of combat in order to land planes and so on. The damaged carrier must still make its way back to a friendly naval base to be repaired. To be fair and balanced this rule must be the same for each nation even though the U.S. had the best damage control.

      So according to this house rule if your attacked by an enemy fleet who scores 1 hit and you apply it to your carrier, then on defense you roll all 3 hits and wipe out the attackers you would loose your planes, where as if missed and the attacker continues for another round your planes can safely land if you eventually succeed?

      You are correct. If you are involved in a small naval battle like this and the the battle is NOT in a sea zone that contains a friendly island or a sea zone next to any friendly land territory then you obviously need to put some serious thought into taking that hit on your carrier. This is all covered in the rule book for the first round of combat. This house rule does not even come into play unless the combat goes into the second round. It would make no sense to take a hit on your carrier if you thought there was any chance of combat not going into the second round and you might LOSE your planes. If you were attacked by a force that only took three hits to destroy, then I would take my first hit on my escorting vessel or vessels. I would never have an unescorted carrier anywhere near the enemy at any time.

    • RE: Our Dream Axis and Allies Games…

      I agree with Bennyboyg. North Africa is my dream game but I know that I will have to design it myself. And this I will do when I get my hand on a proper map. Lots of desert land zones and lots of sea zones. No industrial complexes in N. Africa. Everything will have to come from Europe or the U.S. by transport or by air. My # 2 game will have to be on the eastern front. It is # 2 because of no sea battles. Just lots of huge land armies with air support of course.@bennyboyg:

      Axis & Allies: Mediterranean with Vichy French, Italians, and German Afrika Corps vs. British, Free French, Minor Allies (Greece, Yugoslavia etc.) and mid to late game American reinforcement troops depending on what time period the game starts in. Would be epic as f**k.

      When did the British decide to help the south?@Zhukov44:

      That’s cause it was the only free state city the redcoats could get to  :wink:

      I always put more than 100% into Axis&Allies when I play.@Hobbes:

      @democratic:

      Reasults are in

      42% of people think its best for Japan
      45% of people think its balenced
      31% of people think its good for the allies

      Was it possible to give more than 1 answer? Because the sum of them exceeds 100%…

      Well perhaps we will just have to make our own using FMG units.@reloader-1:

      North Africa seems to be the best option:

      1. Chance for new Italian units

      2. Cool early war German tanks

      3. Fluid battlefront, with strongpoints (Tobruk)

      How far should the map go. It shouldn’t show Germany so how would they work. PS vichy France units would be cool.

    • RE: 6 IPC Tanks and other unit costs

      Having the tactical bombers choose their targets is a great idea. Now maybe they would be worth buying. As far as being escorted by a tank, that is just foolishness. I can see the need of a fighter escort to gain a higher attack value but the tank idea should be dropped.

    • RE: Miracle or Good Strategy?

      Sounds like this game lasted way too long. If ANZAC is moving infantry into India and taking Indo-China then Japan is already defeated. Start a new game! @Dylan:

      I was the Allies and won that was cool, but I need to know if it was good luck of good strategy. It started off with China trading the Burma road or whatever and China holding the front line at any cost. Then when the other 3 declared war Britain assisted China as much as possible and the US in Manila and the Australian’s knocked out the Japanese in the Southern Pacific and the US in the rest. Australia then transported whatever they could into India. Australia had as much troops as they could now into India they captured French Indo China built a Minor industry and knocked the Japanese out of Asia and captured Korea with a minor industry. The bored Chinese army kept reinforcing the Pacific Asian border and helped Australia hold Korea along with Britain. Britain started bombing Japan while Australia worked on a massive fleet. Australia then lost in a failed attack to knock out the Japanese fleet. The US then finished Japan’s fleet off. the United States and Australia now were reinforcing Korea while Britain reinforced Shanghai and India. The US then started daily bombings on Tokyo, soon assisted by Australia. Britain left Asia because there were enough Chinese stranded they went to Okinawa to land there troops. Japan were weakened enough Britain attacked it with a few planes and failed. Australia then killed a lot of it, but then the US stole the show.

      Which Tiger the 1 or the 2?@Brain:

      The Tiger.

      The Jagdpanther was a tank destroyer or a mobile anti-tank gun not a true tank. I think a true tank must have a revolving turret. I think it was built on a Panther chassis.@i:

      i like the ahh im not sure if this is a tank but i like the jagdpanter heres a pic
