@SS:
Thanks Fish, amazon wants 130.00 dollars for the game. Still checkin around. I’m going to try dime and dollar stores.
There is a used version of “War Age of Imperialism” listed on BGG for 50.00. (US) The locos in that game are the same but different colors.
Can we get this in Triplea?Â
Barbarossa is still new and in the testing stage. See it on BGG.
@SS:
Very sweet Fish, where you get the train engines? I seen it here but can’t find it. Thanks
 The locomotives are from this game. Also there are supposed to be 24 of these same locos in a game called “War Age of Imperialism”.
All the Germans need is Stalingrad but the Russians have siezed the initiative and attack first. The Germans have come up short again. 12 turns, game over. It was raining for turn 12 and most of German airforce was grounded anyway.
Now it is snowing and the Russians have been at full production since turn 6.
The Germans are closing in but time is running out. The weather is starting to turn bad. All German planes not on a hard surface airfield are grounded.
Starting turn 6. The Germans have not done a good job of keeping supplies to the front.
@CWO:
Flags to designate armies to place on army cards off the board.
Very nice. Is there any particular reason why the Russian tank is flying the ensign of the Soviet Navy?
That matches up with an army (navy) off board card that I was using in the Barbarossa game. No navy in that so just used for army. No other reason.

@Squadron:
You will need the truck units for games like Barbarossa that have logistics involved.
Are you referring to a specific A&A Barbarossa game or just the general German invasion of the Soviet Union?
If the general invasion, I still think that it would be more cost-effective to spend the 4 IPCs for a mech infantry unit rather than 6 IPCs trying to duplicate the mobility by hauling regular infantry units around. If they could transport artillery units as well, that might make some difference - If you already had truck units in place they would be effective for helping move infantry (and artillery if that were the case) over large distances of land, but from there I would only build mech infantry rather than build new truck units.
I am referring to Tigerman’s Barbarossa game that is played on the map that HBG sells. Surprised that you have not heard of it. Check out my posts of this game under Other AA Variants. You can also see it on BGG. this game requires that you keep supplies up to the front to keep your operations moving. It also has trains and air transport.
I have one but I use a d12 system. Lets be honest, with all these new units you will have to go to a d12 to make every unit worth purchasing!
A D-12 system is the only way to go!

@ABWorsham:
I have been in a deep study of the Battle of the Atlantic, I came across this group of U-Boats that operated along side with the Japanese in the Indian Ocean and also in the Pacific.
The U-Boat war was truely global.
Thats an interesting coincidence. Charles Monsom invented an underwater breathing device to help rescue submariners during WW II.
If it’s all about the facts, maybe this would be better served as:
“If you could take a camera crew in an invisible time machine, back to capture any WWII battle or event on film, which would it be?”
Just exactly what is an invisible time machine? Does that mean that you can waltz right up to the enemy and expose film but they cannot see you?
I think you all are just grasping for straws here just so you can have something to post about. A WW II weapon would be used to kill the enemy, save lives in your own army and win the battle.
Why do I need to have a favorite Mig? Oh well, if I must I will pick the Mig 15. When it first appeared on the world scene (Korea) it was superior to all straight wing jets. It stopped the B-29 raids on N. Korea until the F-86 was fully operational for combat. That was kind of a big deal to me when I was a kid. That was the time in my life when I was making plastic aircraft models. Yes, we had those way back in the early 50s.
You guys had WHEELS wheels back in the stone age??!?! ;)
  Not only that, but we had aircraft with metal skin also.
 We also had steel wheels with rubber tires mounted on them that were held up with nothing but air. And also we had some really big WHEELS like Ike, MacArthur, Marshall and well the list is long. I think I made a humor. I like Ike!

Situation at the end of turn 5. The northern German thrust toward Leningrad has been turned back. See Russian army cards in second photo. Whenever you see a unit with a flag on the map that represents an offmap army group. Will attempt to see this game to conclusion 03/11/13. It looks a little more promising for the Russians now as they have reached full production.
Then it rained and grounded the Luftwaffe which had neglected to base their planes at an airfield. The Russians were waiting for this opportunity and counter attacked.
