Hello
In the rulebook it states that a game should take about an hour. However, after a few games, with the time it takes to work out line of sight etc, no game of mine has been under 2-3 hours. How does everyone deal with this? Do you limit the time you are allowed for a turn? The games seem to drag out a bit for me at the moment.

Can anyone tell me that when you place your units at the beginning of the game, can you place a soldier in a jeep at that point (i.e. the solider is boarded on the jeep before the game turns start), or can it only board during your first movement phase? I have checked the rulebook and it doesn’t cover this scenario.

Also, don’t forget that some units have special abilities that allow movement after their assault has been done. Special abilities take priority over standard rules - a standard rule allows movement or assault, certain special abilities allow both.

2 questions:
1. Does anyone know where you can get spare hit counters from as the volume you get in the starter pack isn’t suficient even for a 100 point army battle.
2. Can we use this site to post units we may want to swap, sell etc? I have only just started on this series since Xmas and only have a starter pack, a booster pack and several individual units from Ebay. However, you have to keep wiaitng for that one unit you want from Ebay and inevitably half the enthusiasts out there seem to be bidding on it too!!

This is a picture of the map from Boardgame Geek. I’ll post the sites with the starting positions, unit descriptions etc, once i’ve been back through and found them again. (It was a few months ago that i was looking this up)

i have asked the exact same question previously and spent ages searching the web for the game.
However, the new map has been done by enthusiasts and is not an official release. There are various links on the web for a picture of the map, starting positions, new rules etc. I was told to print the map off myself, but i like to play official games. Also, printing them never looks good enough to play on.
There are also new units - fortification units (these increase an infantry defending to a roll of 3). Without official units you would have to make up some way of including these units.
There is no mention of a new AAE release on the official website. The local guy in our shop who is up to date on these matters, said he is not aware of any new release.
Annoying really, as the new map, rules etc that people are posting on this advanced game actually look pretty good.
