I don’t think they hate Canada - it’s worth 4 ipc’s! :-D
That is the funniest thing I have heard all day!! Thanks!

As I suggested in another thread… I think the great thing about the two set-ups is that neither of them is a perfect balance. The 1941 set-up gives a slight advantage to the AXIS and the 1942 to the ALLIES. A Bid can level the playing field either way… no?
I am very happy to see this old HOUSE RULE implemented in the game. I have not used it yet to much effect but it will lead to some interesting strategies. The fact that LONDON, BRAZIL and even the USA are threatened by them makes the game more dynamic in my line of thought.
Ouch! Thats one way to get under a gamers skin! Sorry to hear your trouble.
@Imperious:
somebody should post these dice with the new game. Thats would prove a good move.
Don’t worry… we will! Can’t wait to start on the CHINA & ITALY dice also… I will post pics once we have prototype.
Thank you! Reading it now.
I cant understand why USSR has so many Naval units and ITALY gets the short end of the stick???
Keep in mind unlike Revised the Allies do not have to enter the med to liberated Gibraltar.
Good point! Thank you. So Gibraltar does create a distraction to the Western Allies!
100% agree, Egypt is the Key and the goal. I just think there are interesting possibilities with the capture of Gibraltar. It is out of the ordinary and may throw the enemy for a loop… It also counts towards the National Objective AND aids in the National Objective of keeping the Med clear of the Enemy.
If the Africa battle is a see-saw and Egypt is not secure, Trans;Jordan and Gibraltar give Italy the bonus.
“Experienced soldiers are predictable; the world is full of dangerous amateurs.”
If possible scan the rules please!
Thanks
In the on-line world this is inevitable somewhere… My previous point.
Are you sure it would be such a huge deal? WOTC have all their rule books available on-line including all the AAA games here:
Downloadable Rule Books

PS: Im not the only person here who has requested this
Ok, thanks.
So this makes Gibraltar an actual objective for ITALY. Unlike Rev Edition where Gibraltar was left alone, ITALY now has a stake in taking it from UK. Not only will it add to the possible objective bonus, it will be a guard against / and be an additional distraction to the western allies in the Med campaign should ITALY take it.
Even when/if the Western Allies succeed in the “torch” operation, Gibraltar will give ITALY an AIRBASE in the western Med, and the allied capture of Algeria and even Libya do not effect this bonus.
I am excited that ITALY is a new player in the game. The discussion here seems to suggest that ITALY will be the “under dog” in AA50. Lets devise some tactics that would give ITALY the best chance as an AXIS partner and even achieve “Mare Nostrum”
I have posted the NATIONAL Objective card here so we can discuss. It is interesting that Gibraltar is a possible objective, in most games I have played of AAA Rev Edition Gibraltar was largely ignored even though it had HUGE Historical and Strategic significance during the war. Only twice have I ever seen Germany take it, only to avoid its use as an AirBase for the western Allies in the countless games I have played.
I am also confused by the wording on the Card… France, and/or Gibraltar If you have the rule book, does this mean FRANCE and GIBRALTAR count towards the THREE territories or just one of them?
@Craig:
My Larry Harris signed copy arrived late yesterday in the mail. :mrgreen:
I am going to now take some pics of it and will post them later today. :-D
Craig
Must be nice! Signed copy two days before release! Can’t wait to see the pics. Can someone get a PDF or scans of the Rules up here if they have a copy?
Hey, Im a BIG fan of AAA and have always been. I own every version and have created many of my own through out the years before I started FMG.
I am a fanatic!
I’ve played 3 games of AA50.
My advice would be to let China produce 1 inf/territory (not 1inf/2 territories), for each territory that it owns in the Collect Income Phase (not in the Purchase Units phase).
That way you keep within the spirit of the OOB rules, just beefing China up a bit.…… well 1/1 might be ok but then i would buff up japan wouldn’t you think.
i would make japan either get a few land forces back or get an extra few ipc’s like 30-50 ipcs were you want!
According to other players here… CHINA is a goner in 1941 set-up on J1 or J2!!! Maybe 1/1 is the best way to go? Post here if anyone actually tries this. How long can CHINA last?
@Imperious:
2 italian cruiser items
you mean it has accounting of every piece included in the game on the back of the box?
600 pieces and only 2 cruisers? must be a sick joke.
This is SAD!! In AAA I have seen it all, What if ITALY gets, lucky… out wits UK and takes all of Africa? They become a REAL super power with lots of IPC,s cant spend them on Navy I guess… WOTH cheaped out on pcs.
SAD… SAD… I only ordered two copies for myself but I guess I will have to up this. (Maybe its a ploy :-()
David Jensen has written an Article on the Axis & Allies Dice and his pictures look awesome!
Thanks
Hello all!
Just wanted to shout a big thank you to Axis&Allies.org for the warm welcome and support we have received here. The AAA community has been very receptive and engaging with me during the launch of Field Marshal Games. Visiting the site everyday and engaging in AAA topics has become addictive and Im really glad we have such an active community.
I would like to give special thanks to David Jensen for his article and Feature on the site, Craig Yope and Imperious Leader for your support and insight, and the rest of the gang for your kind reviews and interest in anything Axis & Allies!
It is truly an honor for me to have COMBAT DICE featured and accepted by my peers here on the #1 Axis&Allies Fan/Info site in the world. To see COMBAT DICE featured on the front page is a greater honor for me than getting my picture on the cover of TIME magazine.
Thank you all and Happy Gaminig!
Jeremy
