      @Faramir If you play correctly it’s actually way more balanced. Each country can easily dominate if played properly.

      I haven’t tried the Korea move yet. To me though, fewer units earlier seems better than more units later.

      Once again, I’ll test it out. China may be harder with a bid which would require more units than usual.

      No, as an air unit is not a “warship belonging to the attacking power”.

      Rulebook, page 13:

      “However, a transport is not allowed to offload land units for an amphibious assault in a sea zone containing one or more ignored enemy submarines unless at least one warship belonging to the attacking power is also present in the sea zone at the end of the Combat Move phase.”

      These house rules are meant to make the game more realistic while staying as simple as possible.

      Battleships cost 14 IPCs. They cost 1 IPC to repair.

      Switzerland has an IPC value of 4.

      The U.K. can only produce up to 4 units per turn in India. If India is captured by the Central Powers, the Central Powers cannot produce units there.

      If a capital is captured, the IPCs are discarded and not taken by the capturing power.

      Neutral territories that are not home territories still get units if invaded.

      Sea units, except submarines, must end their movement when they enter a sea zone with enemy mines.

      Units that retreat from a contested territory cannot move into another contested territory. They may move into any adjacent friendly territory.

      There is a combat move and a non-combat move. During the combat move, units can move into neutral, contested, and enemy territories. The non-combat move comes after combat. During the non-combat move, units that did not move during the combat move and did not conduct combat can move into friendly territories. Land units can move an unlimited number of territories during the non-combat move within their original territories.

      Optional Manpower Rule

      Keep track of the infantry that are destroyed for each power. If a power has had 2x the number of their infantry destroyed as their starting IPC value (rounded up), they may only collect half of the total IPC value of their territories when they collect income (rounded up). If a power has had 4x the number of their infantry destroyed as their starting IPC value (rounded up), they may only collect the IPC value of their capital territory when they collect income.

      Sounds like you aren’t putting in the correct password for your A&A forums account.

      If it’s working right, then you should be able to click “test post” prior to your turn and a test post will come up in the appropriate forum thread.

      Doublecheck that you have play-by-forum turned on, that you have the right password and account name, and that you have the correct game id in the pbf section.

      For global it depends on what round you are attacking. Like for Germany you pretty much go all mech and armor to attack on G6. Otherwise you do round 2 strait arty then you attack Russia on G7 (buying mech/armor for the other rounds).

      That is pretty much it. Like other units simply do not make it in time. Like your entire german force collides on russia at a specific round. You only need to hold germany, everything else lost can be reclaimed after russia falls including france, I mean you should be using Italy to defend anyway, it has nothing better to do.

      If you do a more economic style of play then you probably invested into the middle east and a more defensive style. So yes then you have a more mixed buy going on.

      Global is a freaking long game to play income style with, just win, it is faster.

      Why is there the rule that industrial complexes cannot be built on islands, even if the island meets the IPC requirements? You should at least be allowed to build minor ICs on islands.

      Because a minor on PI if Japan doesn’t declare war is OP for the US.  Instead of 3 moves from the islands, they are now in the middle of it.

      Online, you enter into a lobby where people host games. There you can join games to play… or watch if it has already started. These games are live.

      Play By Email… well, of course you’ll need the emails of others. I think everyone has to register to the dice server, TripleA should tell how to do it. But you get spammed a lot from the results of the game. So I’d recommend using a new email just for this if you decide to play it by Email.
      Games by Forum or Email aren’t live of course. You get the results uploaded and then when it’s your turn, when you’re done, you post/send your results. TripleA conveniently does most of the work itself for that, I think.

      And if you got a buddy right by ya, you could just play a local game.
