I don’t feel bids are nessesary for when poeple are playing with dice but if playing low luck then a bid is needed.  Period.  That is something I think gets overshadowed in these discussions whether you play with dice or low luck.

Nice me and my one buddy plan on building a table for global in woodshop next school year. We are currently thinking of taking a standard table plan and modifing it to fit what we want. I like the recessed board area. I will have to show him that because with a huge hardwood table(our building material in woodshop) it will be a little heavy. It would be nice to be able to use it as a dinning room table too. Nice table, again.

I got my pieces a month ago and they came in a huge envelope with bubble wrap.  The pieces were all fine and the battlestrip was perfect. All postage was paid

I learned how to play on dday. Itwas a very good way to learn especially with the cards telling how everything works (mostly). Then I got aa50 and that is what I teach people on. I first explain the pieces by showing what they look like(the hardest pieces to reconize by sight for a begginner are the destroyers and cruisers ) then we set up the game. Then by using aa50 info on the nation cards it makes it easy to go through the turn sequence and explain all of those parts. I usually just explain basic combat and then as senerios play out in the first game I explain the more complicated stuff such and subs and amphibious assualts. That is basically what I do and it seems to work pretty well but I would rather they have of read the rulebook and errata before so I don’t need to spend the time explaining things for a few hours and we play on.

That’s I just got a copy for eight bucks with tax.

I know person expierence with German subs too but with that NO 1 starting german sub will probably be at large for most the game rather than used in somesort of attack.

You don’t really need the ICs on the islands any ways. Build one on the mainland in a very good location and watch your fleet don’t make stupid moves that allow easy targets for the allies. Kill the uk fleet quick. There are some good basic tips

I voted for America because a.  I really like playing america in all the games b. It takes a lot of thought when considering what to build because you need to try and think a few turns out(the really hard part IMO)  c.  once the US forces arrive in action they can swing the tide of the game.

me personally I am really hesitant to call the game broke(a broke board game….still makes me laugh)  If there is anything that me and my group agrees is that it takes more a heck of a lot more skill to play the allies in this game than in any other A&A game we have played.  The game is still very new so i wouldn’t give it the official ruling yet as with AA50 there is still no definitive answer if the out of the box set up and rules are broke.

I downlaoded this tonigh and the multiplayer doesn’t seem to be working. I went to the download website and downloaded the windows java installer  and the. The maps but the multiplayer doest work.  Did I not download some thing or the wrong thing?

Hi guys I’m new to  tripleA and would appreciate it very much if someone would explain to me how to set a game.  I downloaded the maps, but the games on the lobby server part doesn’t seem to work.  Did I download the wrong the version or is there something i don’t know?

I would have to play this out but I am concerned about the movement to the Caroline island. From there japan can hit you with nearly every ship they have.

Me and my group just replace all chips with pieces and spread the units around a little then take a picture with some sort of digital camera. Later we just look at the pictures and set up. Everything we spread is purely to make it easier to see on a picture and this gas worked very well for us so far.

It’s alright my friend asked the original aa gun question.  We had a debate and this is where the question ended up, but the bases are a good question.
