    • RE: CSUB solution to the German Baltic Navy Problem; "the Un-Baltic"

With Sea Zone 14 Fleet to Sea Zone 13, no way to take Anglo-Egypt convincingly.  Even with 1 bid unit to Libya United Kingdom can retake Anglo-Egypt.

Bid unit as Submarine to Sea Zone 8 make Un-Baltic not ideal.  Paper is better as written then with Submarine bid.

Rule for strategy for all nation is check back door.  Un-Baltic with Submarine bid leave back door open to United Kingdom.

    • RE: CSUB solution to the German Baltic Navy Problem; "the Un-Baltic"

I think you not check odds in Anglo-Egypt with no Libya bid.  If Germany have both Balkan and Ukraine S.S.R. Fighter, Germany win Anglo-Egypt with Tank 97%.  Germany lose 1 Fighter or more 70% of time in fight.  If Germany lose Ukraine S.S.R. Fighter to Russia move, Germany take Anglo-Egypt only 81% with 1 Tank.  Germany lose Fighter 77% of time and Germany lose Fighter and Bomber 40% of time.

Bid as Submarine in Sea Zone 8 not good change to Un-Baltic strategy.  Make cascade dice failure problem for Germany in Anglo-Egypt and lose aircraft that Germany need to make Sea Zone 7 threat strong.

If bid is Germany Submarine in Sea Zone 8, Anglo-Egypt battle lose.  United Kingdom gain advantage in Mediterranean that reverse Germany gain in Atlantic.  Germany then have 3 fleet to face:  United Kingdom Atlantic, United States Atlantic, United Kingdom Mediterranean.

Bid better to Libya to make sure of Anglo-Egypt for this move.

I find cartoon of how B-17 take much damage and still fly.  It get weird at end but makes point of how tough B-17 were.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9UfNaTcDpM

It not accurate in name though.  Pacific Princess was the name of a B-25.  There no record of B-17 name Pacific Princess.

Sherman with air power was good.  Sherman alone with enemy Panzer not good.

    • RE: German 1 purchase

Germany need more ground unit on Germany 1.  Fighter nice but Russia have Infantry to spare early compare to Germany along Russia-Germany front.  Germany not build land units, Fighter have not troop to take losses and take ground early.  That give Russia more income in following round making Russia more hard to kill.

You want more Fighter as Germany, bid protect Ukraine S.S.R. Fighter on Russia 1.  That give you 1 extra Fighter to begin.  Six Fighter and Bomber add to Infantry and Tank is enough to drive Russia back to Russia.

    • RE: Which would have been a better Ally to Germany?

Turkey.  Way to open new front in early part of war against United Kingdom in Middle East would be benefit.  Would make Russia front much longer splitting Russia to 4 Army groups not 3 but same number men available.  Would make easier for Germany to get oil.

    • RE: Question about the Errata..

Transport cannot have more than it load limit at any time.  If Transport full of Allied units, no new units can be bridged with Transport.

But if United Kingdom have units on United States transport that United Kingdom offload, then United States use Transport on their move is OK.

Hey i thought of a question.

While Mt. Everst is the largest mountain in the world. Before it was even known what was the largest MT. and why?

Mount Everest not biggest.  Mauna Loa is biggest mountain in world and second tallest.  Mauna Kea is tallest mountain but less mass than Mauna Loa.

    • RE: Carrier Conversions

I read Shinano sunk because United States torpedo often malfunction and go below target so fire on Shinano set shallow.  Torpedo run actual depth setting that time and happen to hit on end of steel beam that hold out torpedo blister.  Beam ram through ship and cause to sink.
