The standard bid is 8 IPCs, as mentioned by the Caspian Sub and Flames Of Europe.

RE: Germany Strategy concept…posted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
It is not wise to let the US and UK take Weu. If they are winning, then you should take it back from Germany, as explained above. 6 inf and 2 fighters will stop any invasion until turn 5 or so.
To counter such invasion, you must be ready with you juiced up Baltic fleet (+1 dest) and your 5-6 fighters. -
RE: R1…Moscow fighter to Egyptposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
This holds Germany back about 4 turns. Only then can they break the stalemate.
Buy 3 inf, art, 2 arm
Bel- 3 inf 2 ftr
Ukr- 3 inf, art, 3 arm
Wru- everything else in reach.
All should be taken over.
Place 3 inf and art on Cau, while the 2 arm in Mos
move all infantry from east to west, leaving a 4 man plug on Sin and Yak
The Germans will have no cannon fodder to strike back, and if they do, 5-9 inf, 2 art and 3 arm will definately push them back in Ukr.
If they decide to go for Africa hard now, the russians will be in a favorable position for about 4 turns (this is usually enough for the British and Americans to overwhelm Africa and the seas). KGFThere is only a few ways to counter a KGF, and it should be done in the first turn for Germany. I like to buy a AC on med and land a fighter on it. This way the british airforce cant threaten my Africa chain the next turn. I also build a destroyer on the Baltic fleet. This helps them survive (I use them + planes to hit the allied vessels). This leaves Russia run around free in the east having 30+ icps everyturn, but the ipc’s lost in the east can be quickly regained in africa. Japanese planes help alot too.

RE: Low Luckposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
Okay, so shall e go at it? Low luck or LUCK :shining star:

RE: Low Luckposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
You only got that strong with germany because you took england with crazy rolls. I was forced to take it back, but by that time you had +30 ipc or so. It was lucky/outrageous rolls that got your win.

RE: Low Luckposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
switch relies on luck to win. thats how he beat me… the espionage can also happen with low luck. thats where the luck comes in, but trust me no transport can beat 2 fighter squadron, no matter what kinda espionage you are talking about…

RE: What is your favorite country to play?posted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
not if you protect them from turn one. they are crucial on a KGF

Low Luckposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
Low Luck makes this game more interesting. It prevents silly things from happening such as losing 2 fighters to two transports. It makes the game more realistic. What are your insights?
Low Luck example
2 inf, art, arm vs 4 inf
1+ 2*+2+3=8 take a 6 (whole hit) out and roll for the rest. so the attackers woudl score one hit and roll for a 2 or less
2+2+2+2=8 same thing for the defenders
2ftr vs dest In regular A&A thsi si a very bad move, but in Low Luck its not that bad at all
3+3=6 hit the dest is dest :-D
the dest rolls for 3 or less.
Give it a try, it really enghances gaming experience. Warning, this is extremely unbalanced as default. To balance it the axis player must have an 8 ipc adv added on the board.

Empire forge is also a pretty interesting game, that is played by many former A&A players. www.empireforge.com
