On that subject will the game use what are now the old AAA rules and thus have generic sculpts since they can be captured?

I would assume so, as it is announced as a reprint based on the given (as per Krieghund updated) ruleset.
We have to wait for something official about the sculpts, of course.

Another fairly significant change I just thought of is tanks cost 6 IPC now. AA50 was the last version to have tanks at 5 IPC. Would you guys prefer 5 or 6 IPC’s for AA50?

For all the veteran HBG customers how often do they restock pieces? I placed a large order the other day to complete what  I need for Global War 1936 but most of the Japanese pumpkin orange pieces are out of stock. Also I like the dark grey German pieces and lot’s of those are also out of stock. I talked to the owner (I think his name is Doug) and I couldn’t get a clear answer.

Can someone post a picture of the HBG - South Dakota Class Battleship and the OOB Iowa Class Battleship side by side. I want to see if I want to purchase the HBG version as Global War II USA has the choice to build two types of battleships.

Off topic For the life of me I can’t find the post YG made about a month ago in regards to the best material to print a map. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Is this project dead?

My first order they sent me a wrong piece and corrected it. Second order I was short two pieces send them a message and no reply. Unfortunately I am in Canada and I can’t afford to make new orders every time they make a mistake as their policy is they don’t pay for shipping to Canada even if they make a mistake.

I like the ocean graphics, I like the land graphics I don’t like the huge roundel for the capitals. It’s too big for my liking. YG 1940 map at later versions had the capitals stand out by increasing the size of the rounder just by a bit like double.

I have cool vinyl maps, lots of extra units organized in tidy bin-trays, and nobody to play with… I’m beginning to think all the people that play A&A live in Canada and Europe (snow must be a requirement to play A&A).

Too bad you don’t live in Vancouver :-(. I am the same. At least I found a few people to play lately.

I don’t know if this helps, but when you get some of the 3D printed pieces, they don’t award points for those because their profit margin is very small on those.
I’ve gotten reward points on their pieces from the combat unit sets and some of the acrylic markers and battle labels.  Just not on the 3D printed pieces or old A&A pieces.

Thank you for the reply knp. The order was mostly combat units and clearly the HBG website states how many points should be awarded for the pieces I’ve odered.

Most of the custom made pieces and units at HBG reward points if purchased (At least that’s what the website claims). My last order I was suppose to be rewarded a bunch of points but never did. This was my third order at HBG and the first time this happened. When I contacted HBG via facebook (they reply within minutes if not seconds) they said not all orders reward points which puzzled me. So I specifically made a list of my purchased pieces with the corresponding amount of reward points according to the HBG website and send it off. No reply back. Anyone else experience something like this before?

Most likely I’ll schedule a game with Gargantua next week.

Hopefully next time you’re up here I’ll get to meet you in person over an A&A table. :-)
