      Contact HBG and ask them if they are going to start selling Anniversary single units soon. They do it for every other A&A game I don’t see why they wouldn’t for Anniversary.

      The original post back from 2012 says this game has been play tested for 7 years. So this means this game has been in design stage for 12 years.  :roll: Isn’t it a bit ridiculous for a board game to be in design stage for 12 years going in 13. Something smells fishy here.

      Well tanks cost 6 for 1942.2 and Global and people buy tanks in those games. In Anniversary with No’s, Nations income is greater than 1942.2 so I see no issue at all with the cost increase as far as purchases go. Yes you’ll have less tanks on the board specially German and with that I am really interested if that balances the game to a point that no bid is required.

      In Anniversary edition the tanks cost 5. I always had a house rule to make tanks cost 6 but haven’t played too many games. Do you think this balances the game a little as Axis are usually on the offensive?

      PS. I also play with the latest AA rules

      Destroyer strength: .30144/8^2  = 0.675

      Even such cost structure would not solve the warships DD vs Cruiser vs BB issue.
      D8 allows it, because it goes from DD@2 25%, CA@5 62.5%, BB@6 75%:
      Destroyer    A2 D2 (0.563 / 0.563)
      Destroyer    A3 D3 (0.844 / 0.844)
      Cruiser        A5 D5  (0.625 / 0.625)
      Battleship    A6 D6   (0.707 / 0.707)

      So, buying cheap you get weaker unit but costlier it becomes stronger, as it is suppose to be.

      I like your D10 numbers with the exception of the TB with attack of 6/7. I would change that to A5/A6. With that change the strategic bomber in comparison to the tactical bomber will be a bit weak at A6 and overall too powerful at A7. I am not an AAG40 expert but I believe people are complaining that strategic bombers are too powerful at 67% odds of attack, imagine that at 70%. In any case strategic bombers need a bit of rule nerfing. I like what they did for Global War.

      Can you elaborate on the ship calculations?

      Destroyer strength: .30144/8^2  = 0.675

      Battleship strength: .701442.618/20^2 = 0.660

      What do the numbers mean? My Friday afternoon brain cannot figure it out.

      Cheapest place I found in Vancouver (Lower Mainland) is the hobby store in Brentwood Mall. $107 + tax which comes a few cents shy of $120. I haven’t opened the game yet but today I will after seen more than a few people had problems with creases on rulebooks and container boxes.

      It should be released November 11, 2018. Mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.

      iam also using TD and  AT-Guns in my A&A version.
      The TD got the ability to blitz the AT-Gun only if it pulled by Mech.Inf. for example.

      Both units in my game only got a defensive ability to “Ambush”.
      Before the first round of combat starts. The defender got the possible to shot with these “ambushed” Units on the attackers armored units first.(Tanks,Heavy Tanks, TD and all types of Mech.Inf)
      Each involved TD or AT-Gun got only 1 shot but in “ambsuh” mode both units gain +2 against armored units but no target selection. The attacker have to decide wich unit is hit and immediately removed from the board.

      Looks like you’ve made custom/house rules for the TD. Did you do that because you think the official rules from HBG make the TD too powerful?

      When you follow the link besides Germany it says color grey. Is that correct or is it a typo? The back of the box picture clearly shows black German pieces.

      What does everyone want/wish to see as far as the 4 new sculpts? Personally I would like to see UK, Russia, Italy and Germany get the 1940.2 artillery sculpts.

      For A&A AE 2008 UK and Russia had the 105mm US artillery, Italy had the Japanese type 92 70mm artllery and Germany had the 88mm artillery which in 1940.2 and 1942.2 is their AA gun.

      Not really. I only visit that website once in a blue moon.

      I wanted some feedback from veteran players and yes I do agree that the Tank Destroyer and the Self Propelled Artillery should be added to the reference sheets. Still a lot of work from their part to complete the game.

      Yeah since you brought it up im definitely motivated to use these units. Guess I’ll be buying a stack of white units and painting to match the missing HBG colours. Funny how fast my piece addiction kicks in. Its the jet fighter and heavy tanks all over again lol. Probably the light tanks too so I dont lose expensive armour against these TD.  Ahh guess im working overtime again, for this obsession of a game.

      Lol… I am the same. I get into these kind of projects and it takes a while to complete them. Let share some pictures and exchange some notes on what colors we use.

      OP = Overpowered. For 1 less attack point you get a unit that is 1 less IPC and has target selection of armored units but doesn’t have blitz.

      Based on the German Minor Set 1 tank destroyers stats are A-D-M-C 5-5-2-5 with target selection: 1-2 (armor class units). Does this seem a bit OP given medium tanks are A-D-M-C 6-5-2-6 w/ blitz ability.

      Btw how many of you use the tank destroyer unit for all nations in your games?
