      @JimmyHat:

      YG, we use a 12 sided dice to track what round it is.  After 12 rounds we add a 6 sided.  After that the game should be over!:)

      We do the same, but with all that space in the bottom corners of the board, why not have a little chart that tracks time and gives little reminder notes as to when things are due to happen in the game…. just a thought.

      We have that in our group (mainly to check when USA and Russia would enter the war, so it only goes 4 turns)

      By the way, for those who don’t have 12-sided dice (and not enough 6-sided ones): use a deck of cards ;)

      I just had a brilliant idea, I have a pool table score counter somewhere in a box. You know, the one where you slide the plastic cubes across a steal rod from one end to the other? I’m so gonna put that up in my game room…… awesome.

      @otahere34:

      This is off subject but has to do with the fact of the U.S. building a minor IC in korea. Can they move within striking distence of that when there not at war even though Japan can not end movement withing 2 zones of alaska or the western U.S.?

      Yes.  The United States is only prohibited from being next to Japanese soil in the Pacific.  If they want to leave their fleet next to SZ 6, but not in SZ 6, they may do so.

      To be able to land a plane in a territory, the territory has to be under controll by you or your allies at the begining of your turn.

      @elque:

      London’s 5 AA guns should be able to role once against each of three attacking German fighters in an amphibious assault then for a maximum of 15 die rolls. 5 AA guns each firing 3 times against each of 3 attacking air units.

      the 5 London AA guns  could generate no more than 3 die rolls against the 3 German airplanes.

      So … which is the correct interpretation?

      In the Alpha+3 rules, London begins the game with 4 AA guns ( not sure if your scenario had the UK purchasing one or not, but just wanted to point that out)

      @Bodeacious:

      @Koningstiger:

      Land three American transports loaded with 3x infantry and 3x tanks in Africa and along with the assistance of the Brits and some token French forces, the Axis will never ever control all of Africa! An Allied player that allows this is defeinitely doing something wrong! ( I agree that Africa is a relative sideshow, but you simply cannot allow the Axis to take ALL the African IPCs!)

      The Us can send three tanks to Brazil and pick up the three men there.

      Wouldn’t you have to unload at least one of the tanks to claim the infantry? That would then also mean that transports’s move is over since you unloaded. You wouldn’t be able to move that transport again until your next turn. Apart from that that’s a good points. I also go to Africa via Brazil. Again, an Allied player that allows the Axis to completely conquer Africa is doing sth wrong…

      Look at rule book page 20. If you made a combat move into the tt(territory) and won, it is yours. If it was French to start with, then there was no combat move into the tt, and is still French. Liberate France if you want to collect income from it. The dutch are not a power, and are a different deal.

      No one is quitting, however, what you run into is India falling on J3, leaving the US with 127 IPC’s worth of builds to catch up to Japan, which really isn’t a huge amount. So then China is isolated and the bulk of Japans airforce flys to one of the DEI or the Phillipines and controls the area along with Japans fleet. Japan is likely out producing the US along with having more land/air strength to boot. Against two fairly evenly matched players this is a huge disadvantage to overcome.

      @elque:

      Assume that your naval force includes one or more submarines and your opponent has a destroyer and engages you in battle. Can your submarines submerge (exit in mid battle) at your option once your opponent takes his destroyer as a casualty?

      You would be able to submerge your submarines the following round of combat since there would no longer be any destroyers to negate the sub’s special abilities.

      I think its pretty cool that Japan use all six at once. Pretty big deterrent for the big beach head of Japan IMO.

      @Lozmoid:

      When retreating from a land combat, I know that all attacking land units must move to one adjacent space from which at least one of those units originally came. But what about the attacking air units? We played it that they may move to any friendly space (range permitting) during the Non-Combat Move. Were we correct in this? Or must they move to the same space as all the land units?

      You played it correctly.

      @Lozmoid:

      Also, I take it that partial retreats are still allowed? i.e. all/some attacking air units may retreat from a land cobat after one round, leaving the attacking land units to continue the struggle… Is this correct also? Thank you again.

      Partial retreats are only allowed in the case of amphibious assaults. Even then, all units that may retreat (non-amphibious units) must retreat at the same time.
