      But as to whether it makes sense? The example of London falling, well, what if that really happened. Would the entire british empire just roll over and die, surrender, become nuetral? Would they continue fighting? If they couldn’t, why wouldn’t the US then take control of the territories in North America immediately and use those resources for the war effort? In fact, why wouldn’t the governments of Canada, South Africa, ect…decide to join America.

      This is just a game.  The reason it makes sense is that it keeps the game equal!!!  I am sure in real life they may join up with America, but in the GAME it makes no sense at all as far as the ipc production.  Why take out London if all the money goes to America?

      I personally believe that Krieghund should not even respond to you anymore.  He has made it clear the rules.

      I have seen some other posts by official moderators who have that kind of back and forth banter with those pushing ideas or arguing a point of view regarding the rules, and it turns into extreme statements that restate the other persons ideas into ludicrous thoughts.

      I have not seen this at all.  I believe they are straight forward with the answers based on what the rules state.  I have not seen them push any ideas or point of views.  Just my opinion but you seem way out of line on this argument!!!

      My buddy and I misunderstood this rule that same as you quite awhile back so here is an example of why it needs to be this way.

      My buddy did a successful sea lion against me and since we thought that we could step in and take ally territories.  The US took all of Canada and slowly moved its way through Africa becoming even more of a super power tha before.  So Germany takes London and within a few turns US was making 90+ ipcs.  The allies obviously won.  There was no point in liberating London since US had almost all their money anyways.  I believe it was one of the last games we played prior to finding this site.

      Gotta say, I have used the G1 since.  About to make a slight change to it but I love it.  I don’t do quite like yours but…. the reason I do it is because I read your posts about it.

      I don’t know if your interested but I can send you a couple games so you can see it.  You would have to have triple a of course.  I had one game end very quickly, another that lasted till turn 9 or so, and currently in one that is on turn 9 and the ipc’s are about equal between the axis and the allies.

      So I guess now is as good a time as ever to talk about the game.  I think this J4 paired with your G4 would be very hard to stop.  I understand things may be a little different if Russia helps china out like in the game we played where the sides were switched but, I had a distinct advantage cause I knew that you were going G4.  Things may have been a lot different in our first game if I hadn’t known until turn 2 or 3 that you were not going to attack.  With the way I set up Japan, they could have easily secured Cairo so that I could have never gotten it back.  I barely got it back as it was.  (I know I hosed on Taranto).  If you would have had 8-10 transports loaded ready to take Calcutta or move on to Cairo it would have been hopeless.  That is neglecting the 20+ airplanes that could have joined as well.  Making 70+ ipcs, there would have been no problem shoring up the Japanese capital in order to hold out for the German VC win!!!

      You have to remember that my buddy and I have never played VC rules.  We have always played till the other surrenders.  Makes it tough on the axis a bit but really allowed us to devise good strategies on both sides without the others help.

      So far things have gone mostly (could have done without the excessive amount of Russian 2’s:)) to plan for me.  My main goal as the axis is to try to get the money situation pretty even. With the allies being a few moves away from acting on any sort of a plan, the axis, (as long as the money is even), can counter pretty easily.  I will say that in the games I have played prior to this one, Russia has never been this good as far as getting LOTS of hits.  I don’t think I have been diced the whole game by all countries, just in most situations regarding the Russians.  It has prompted me to change my first purchase.  Here is why….

      Most of the time I have had enough cheap units last to make mostly tank purchases acceptable.  I found against you that there came a point where I had only tanks to attack with which is far to expensive.  I am going to change my G2 purchase to 5 in 5 art and 4 tanks instead of the standard 10 tank purchase I have used in the past.  I think that would have been far more beneficial in our game in particular.  If the situation arises where I am getting beat down in Russia again that should solve that problem.  I can continue to purchase tanks and mech and airforce as needed from that point on.

      Would love to hear the thoughts of the #13 ranked player on A&A.org:)  Just checked the rankings today!!  Impressive!!  I knew I was playing the real deal in our first game but that just confirmed it for me!:)

      I agree with Tall Paul.  I am playing a game right now and Germany has 8 subs with a nice airforce to back it in order to hold the US/UK navy at bay.  Nice to see you back YG!!  I thought you quit or something:)

      That is exactly why I put him there:)  You have to be very careful when you leave unattended transports!!!  I have learned the lesson the hard way with my buddy in face to face games.  He snipes my tt’s all the time.  Drives me crazy, especially when you don’t expect it.

      I really thought that you would fortify Norway.  Granted, it would have been really risky since Germany can put so much stuff in that area in one turn.  That would have definitely moved the focus away from Germany.

      On a side note.  I would have been soooo mad if you would have won in Celebes AGAIN!!  There was no other option for me but go for it.  Couldn’t back it up with my navy cause US/Anzac combo would have wiped them out.  After the first hit I might have cussed a little:)

      Appreciate the apology.  Takes a lot to admit faults one might have.  I just think you should use a little more tact when posting.  Just because you are super competitive doesn’t give you the freedom to be rude/offensive.  I am competitive as well.  I just tend to lean towards giving people the benefit of the doubt. I may not agree with a strategy but I will wait to see it before I start saying it won’t work.  You have great ideas on counters to situations, you just word them bad.

      Regarding me playing you.  I did PM you in order to play a game when I had no idea how to use triple a.  I just needed someone to help me through the initial process and I had hoped that would be you.  What I got was short, nondescript replies implying that I was an idiot for not knowing how to use the program.
