If you attack the sub with planes and is no hit you can evade in a neighbour sz with no enemy ships. you cannot fire on the planes but you can use the sub as casuality in a battle.

To No 4. i play normally that you cannot build ships in a sz with enemy ship.

To No 5: subs cannot submerge only retreat if possible. If not you can kill the sub with planes.

I think I have not enough games. Just 4 last year and this year 7 games. So end of the year mayby 20 games overall.
So 20% losses because of Marti sounds realistic.

Not so bad if you attack. Therefore I wrote the advantage for me that you didnt attack with USA and I looked for my old games and there are some without the rule.
If i played the Allies instead of you I had declare war because I did not know that it is not allowed. And yes, you are first player use this rule, in my games and doing politics against the machine I think. But I am new with the game and maybe complete wrong. So i am surprised too. But the rule is good for the game.
