What the numbers on households with and without cable?
We are without. A VCR helps us hold down the fort if someone is watching another channel.  Not more than 2-3 hours a day in the family…16 and 1/2 hours a week currently.  Last year was a lot higher…21 and 1/2 hours weekly.

It’s actually a lot less cuz we all FF the commercials.

Anyone get the idea TV is dying.  It seems to be looking for new ways to bring in the buck.  This will likely hurt the long term reruns value and CD rentals/sales.

Maybe they should mention that profits are about $0.10 a gallon whether the gallon is $1.999 or $3.999…

They should also point out that the US government gets about $0.10 taxes per gallon and…
state and local taxes get about $0.36 per gallon.

Hmmmm!  That means that government gets about $0.46 cents per gallon of gas that you buy.  That means the taxes are four and one half times the profit.

I see it more as if the minutemen won. The border is becoming more secure because of the political pressure the minutemen were able to apply by making people aware of the problem. Bush was ready and set for an amnesty program before the minutemen came about. Now the illegals have become desperate.

That would really stink if another terrorist got in office. Israel already had to deal with Arafat.

no, actually, ours is quite good. im not at all pleased with our justice and penal system, but the physical prisons are quite good. not even relative to france, but in general.

Also i was exaggerating. I criticise much more than i mock. The only thing American that i mock is their President. Sadly too much that is Canadian is a reflection of American “values” so i would find myself far too often mocking issues of my own nation (which i already do, by the way).

that was being pretty sarcastic - sorry-ish.

The Liberals had delivered tax cuts in the past, but yes - they are in trouble, and they have been since the last election.  They will likely win again with another minority government.  I’m not sure that i want them in power, but they are sadly the most “federal” and palatable party out there.  At least for now.  Having said that, i am VERY tempted to vote for Harper’s Conservatives just because i really like the guy.  They just need to be taken more seriously in the east.
