Oh, and while John "F"ing Kerry was in Davos, Switzerland last week he called for a filibuster of Supreme Court Justice  nominee Sam Alito(as heard on Mike Savage.) Though I didn’t hear a peep about it on the big news shows. Guess they want to keep it in their pocket for J"F"ingKerry2008 !!

I think that the sudden change was due to Liberal ads that backfired.  They had some attack ads that ended up touching otherwise-Liberal supporters that just chased them into the Conservative camp. 
Also i think that people just wanted to punish the Libs. 
Not sure how long this will last tho’.  The Conservatives have a minority gov’t with very few options for “teammates” with the exceptions of otherwise conservative Liberals.  We shall see . . .

as far as hillary: my dislike of her has nothing to do with her politics. i know next to nothing about her politics, and the one issue i actually know her position on, i more or less agree with (more than any other politician ive heard). so why do i dislike her? dont know really. something about her gives me one impression: power-hungry manipulative b****. i dont know where i got that, nor do i know why or how. but i greatly dislike her, and it has nothing to do with her politics. that said, if she is elected, im moving to canada.

I can give you a good reason not to like her.  After 911 she charged that the administration should have told the people of Manhatan that the air could be contaminated by the explosions (on 911).  She used it as a mud slinging game with Bush, saying how he doesn’t care about the long term effects of exposure, cover up… all that nonsense.  She is not a stupid woman, she is like you said “a power-hungry manipulative b****”.  She knows very well that telling people on 911 that the air could hurt them would have caused a panic.  Manhattan is an island with only a few bridges.  10s, if not100s of thousands would have died in the ensuing stampede.

She is not fit to be a senator, much less our president.

I was up at 3am then (guess why?), and saw Nightline bring a live report about the miners being saved.  Actually, I came in the middle of it, and thought it was an old video of the PA rescue.  A couple was standing there saying that they got a call and rushed over, but couldn’t see the individuals because they needed to be checked.  Nothing specific was being said.  I wondered: is this real?  Could they be dead and they don’t want to break the horrible news?  I was informed the next day that they only found 1 alive, in critical condition.  What is his status?

I hardly think the situation is laughable.  They were intending to give great news about a near disaster, that in actuality turned out to be false.  I would shame them if they rushed HORRIBLE news, which seems to be the standard for most news these days.

Just apply the same rule to ALL media sources that Neal Boortz tells listeners to apply to anything they here on his show or read on his website…

It will be even messier if Turkey is part of the EU when this takes place.  However I think this should resolve itself before that happens as it doesn’t look like the EU is letting Turkey join anytime soon.

It isn’t certain what will happen with regards to greater Kurdistan (Kurdish areas in Iraq, Turkey, Iran), although it could certainly get ugly there.

Any Kurds in Syria?  I’m not sure, and if so what that would imply as well.

Nevertheless, this goes back a long ways to when the British occupied Iraq (taken from the Ottoman Empire in WWI if I am not mistaken).  It is always a difficult thing to go back to the pre-colonial (and pre Ottoman empire) nations and boundaries as often they were not clearly marked or identifiable.  Besides, there is oil in N. Iraq…and everyone wants a peice of that!
