      @cernel yea probably helter skelter
      I read in “Soldat” where the Germans were surprised and were happy Patton wasn’t in charge for the Anzio landings.

      Idk but the USA kinda sucked in Italy. Was a WWI mode somewhat

      @Eisenhower said in Easy game?:

      Re: Axis & Allies Battle of the Bulge FAQ

      i heard that axis and allies d day is the easist game. Is battle of the bulge also a very easy game for beginners?

      Well it will be easier in the sense of not having rules baggage from other Axis and Allies games to foul up the reading of the rules. It is not easier if you have no wargame experience as it uses several concepts from more traditional hex and chit games.

      The Allies have a non-traditional objective in this game in that they are managing a retreat instead of trying to take and conquer ground. This has always seemed to be difficult for players to get their heads around.

      It is a very good game though and hits a nice middle ground between beer & pretzels sorts of things and the previously mentioned hex and chit games.

      Each unit with a combat value would get one die. One attacking infantry would roll one die(scoring a hit on a “1”) and the defending infantry+artillery rolls 2 dice(scoring a hit for each die showing “1” or “2”). This continues each round until combat is resolved or attacker retreats

      Go to a good size library, they might have the 20 Vol.

      series of History of the First World War by Marshall

      Candelvish Publications(they did the W.W.2 series).

      Pictures, illustrations, charts, graphs, side articles of W.W.I,

      written by the generation who went thru it, and, the ones

      afterwards.

      Your library might have a loaner series, to take a book home,

      or, order it thru the state library system.

      I read my series at Buffalo Main Branch at the turn of the

      century, took me under two years to go thru the whole series

      of books.

      Impossible one does not get a feel for The Great War, much

      less ideals for House Rules, thanks, Pellulo

      @Eisenhower

      Hey man, with the Naval Base on America’s Eastern USA territory, you can reach Sea Zone 91, bordering Gibraltar and Morocco. You can drop troops in either. Note that your ships can only pass through into the Mediterranean if the Allies control Gibraltar.

      You can also get back in one turn via the Naval Base there.

      If Germany is building an air fleet, make sure the UK puts an Air Base in Gibraltar for scrambling.

      Sending loaded transports from USA to Gibraltar. How many turns does it take before cargo can be off loaded
