RE: The Bunker Rulesposted in House Rules
@sweetchops27 I’m going to write it up on our sheet like this.
U-BOAT ACES - The captains and crews of Germany’s submarine fleet were the most experienced in the world. Shortly into the war small flotillas of U-boats were turning the merchant fleets of the Atlantic into submerged steel coffins and the Atlantic was their graveyard.
- If a German submarine survives a combat or conducts a SUCCESSFUL convoy, it is then designated a U-Boat Ace. (One submarine per turn may be “promoted”)
- Those submarines then hit on a 3 on their first round of combat. This may be improved with “Super Subs”

@sweetchops27 I love the U-Boat Aces. I think I want to expand on that a bit. Hmmm.

RE: The Bunker Rulesposted in House Rules
We’re trying to come up with something better for Germany. Something that’s not going to break the game. Has to have some sort of disadvantage as well.

The Bunker Rulesposted in House Rules
We’ve been playing with our house rules and they seem to be working OK. We’ve added some more stuff to it as well. Some I’ve taken from other posts here and tweaked. Some from our Double Blind game. Let me know what you think. TheBunkerRules.pdf

@GEN-MANSTEIN That makes some sense too. We’re going to have to try it. We’re trying as above on Sunday. See how it works out. Keeping your input for next time.

RE: Global 40/42 House Rulesposted in House Rules
Came up with new US enhancer.
Atlanta Class Cruisers
While US is at War, any sea zone with a US Atlanta Class Cruiser is treated exactly as if it contained an antiaircraft gun. There is a round of AA fire before battle even if the US fleet is attacking (see AA gun rules). These cruisers cannot do shore bombardments in any battle.
Atlanta class was composed of eight dual 5-inch/38 caliber gun mounts (8 × 2 5-inch guns). This battery could fire over 17,600 pounds (8,000 kg) of shells per minute, including the radar-fuzed “VT” anti-aircraft (AA) shells. The Atlanta Class Cruiser did not fare well in Surface Combat. It had a shortage of gunfire directors for the main 5 inch gun battery.
You can purchase 1 of 2 types of Cruisers. Regular or Atlanta class. Same cost. Still hit/defend at 3. I have 2 different pieces for the US cruisers. You may replace half of game setup (1942 setup) cruisers with Atlanta Cruisers.

Hello all,
Looking for some players in the southern or central part of CT. We play in North Haven and sometimes in Newington. When we play it’s an all day affair. Nice big conference room in my office. We generally play on Saturdays with the occasional Sunday. PM me if interested.

RE: What is the most unusual/annoying/strange allied bidposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Might have to try that. 2 fighters and a bomber for Russia. A destroyer for US in the Atlantic. Hmmmmm.

If I can get a 40 bid, I build 4 fighters for Russia. Huge on defense. Huge when making counter attacks.

3D Printing Filesposted in Customizations
Hello,
I’ve recently purchased a 3D Printer for my son and I would like to use it for some pieces for my A&A. Is there a place or someone here that has some files for download? Pay for the use of the files is not an issue. Or does anyone a have a tutorial on making my own pieces?

[Global 1940] Trans Siberian House Rulesposted in House Rules
Just some thoughts on how I might implement a TSRR rule in our Global game. I feel this may help out in the bidding process. If Russia can get it’s troops back to Moscow, the Allies may not need such a high bid.
A -The Trans-Siberian Railroad was made to bring mass troops from all over Russia. Therefore, ALL troops gathered along the Trans-Siberian Railroad countries may move freely from one end to the end on Russia’s NON-COMBAT move. This move may only go ONE WAY OR THE OTHER! There was only one rail and it took 8 days from end to the other. This railway may ONLY be used by Russian troops. The route exists along Russia to Samara, Samara to Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk to Tunguska, Tunguska to Yenisey, Yenisey to Yakut SSR, SSR to Buryatia, Buryatia to Amur.
B - Exceptions: If Axis controls any country of The Trans-Siberian Railroad, it is then sabotaged and no longer functions until Allies liberates. It then can be used on its FOLLOWING non-combat move.
C - The Trans Siberian Railroad may bombed by Tac/Strat Bombers the same as Naval and Air Bases. (See Rule Book)
