PayPal added a step to their process that encourages and confuses you to create a PayPal account. Please keep in mind that you do not have to create an account.

When you get to this button, switch it off, like the picture below, then checkout button will change to “Pay Now as Guest” or something similar.

@Witt I’m really not sure at this point. I heard August but then some folks on Facebook are saying that they’re copy has shipped.

Not sure if everybody is aware but when you click the Amazon or eBay links and purchase something, we get a small cut. This is true for anything you buy even if your purchase does not include the product in the original link.

Technically, I’m not supposed to encourage you to click links to affiliates in this manner. But that’s how these programs work and you can do whatever you want with this info. 😄

I’m going to get technical. It looks like the problem was that we were running out of memory resulting in paging memory to disk. That, apparently, would also cause the CPU to spike. Now that we have more memory, no more paging and the CPU is also in better shape.

I noticed slowness and memory issues again so I upgraded the server again. I think we were running at $144/year (for this particular server) now we’re at $336.

@Krieghund I also have a cheat sheet that I’ve been working on and Matt has proofread. I’ll post it later but I’ll send it to you now.

BTW, you might see some familiar names in the play tester credits. 😄

Just starting the thread for the stream of questions that @Krieghund will have after everybody has a chance to read the rules.

Also, yes, there will be a rules clarification sheet coming out at some point. For instance, it’s not super clear how much movement aircraft have when you use them as an escort. It both is and is not what you would expect.

@Panther I don’t know. The problem is that the new UI is a new theme and we’re not using it. I’m not sure how well supported the old themes are.

However, if I try to change, everyone might revolt again.

@barnee I think I have to try to filter the spam requests next.

I think I can add a tip jar link. Maybe you get a bag of money icon every time you tip a certain amount. 🤣

I upgraded the CPU and it seems to help.

It look like the bytedance crawler is hammering the site.

I’ll keep an eye on things but it feels better now.

It’s a little better but I’ll need to look into it more. I really dislike having to shell out another $30/month for bot traffic but we might have to do that.
