Candyman, Hey man send me an E-mail. I’ve got a game set for the 10th. I’ll have a buddy in from out of town, as well as the regular guys who can make it. I don’t know what we’ll be playing yet but it should be a good time.
You can also check out Third Reich if you want to stop by.

RE: How could it be that…posted in Axis & Allies Europe
The Sea Zone in question is adjacent to Germany. Therefore the German apparently bought a Destroyer and placed it into that Zone during placement.

RE: Finland Norwayposted in Axis & Allies Classic
That’s an option, but I look at it this way:
1. With that armor I can blitz and take more territory, faster.
2. I usualy bring 2 Infantry from Southern Europe for the attack on Egypt, which can be used to suport the new armor in attacks on South Africa and/or Syria.
3. 3Infantry in Finland might delay an occupation a little longer. It is a temptation for Russia to attack the armor to remove it as a threat to Karelia, where as they might wait and let Britain or america remove the less threatining Infantry. This translates into a possible couple extra IPC’s. Of course this depends on your opponent. -
RE: Finland Norwayposted in Axis & Allies Classic
If Russia dosen’t hit the Baltic fleet I sink the British home fleet and transport the tank to Algeria. The Infantry are screwed:)

By my count that move from the UK to Aust. is 9 spaces! I guess thats better than the 8 spaces to the Solomon Sea Zone.

RE: Best generalposted in General Discussion
I hate to burst your bubble Moses, but Patton arived in Africa and took over command on the 4th of March 1943, and Rommel was relieved and returned to Germany on the 5th of March 1943. The big stories of Patton defeating Rommel are a propaganda myth. Patton along with the rest of the allied army in Africa faced Colonel-General von Arnim. Not familiar with him? History doesn’t remember loosers.
I agree the Patton was a great General, one of histories best, however he never realy went head to head with Rommel.

I wasn’t tring to insult you I just couldn’t understand your post. Try breaking it up into seperate questions. Smallerposts are easier to read.

RE: The boardgame Third Reichposted in General Discussion
Third Reich is a hex based, Division level(I belive) game by Avalon Hill. I’m pretty sure it is not being printed any more. I’m sure you could find it on ebay and probably see a picture of it there. The units are cardboard cutouts so if the plastic figures are important to you this game isn’t for you.
Take AAE and make it 100 times more detailed, start it in 1939 and you have Third Reich.

Hey, I just responded to you thread about Third Reich. Email me and I can set up a meating and you can check out the game. I’ve been wanting to play for a while.
Also I set up a small website to keep in touch with the guys and post game results for fun. I enjoy making up a story about the games. I post them on my forum. I just started so its all pretty small.

RE: The boardgame Third Reichposted in General Discussion
You get out of third reich what you put into it. I personaly think it is one of the best WWII srategy games out there, however you and anyone who will be playing with you must spend some time to learn the rules and it is a pretty long game.

RE: Can allies win?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
First, go to hasbro’s web site and print a copy of the rules.
Then work on your grammer and spelling. I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t spell very well and my grammer is far from perfect, however if you want to ask a question the people who read it have to be able to understand.

RE: Can allies win?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
Fine by me I already have 3 E-mail games going any way.
-
RE: Can allies win?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
No, everything you need is available there, and it’s free. All you have to have is an E-mail address. They suport the CD game if you like but they mostly play by Email.
If anyone would like to try it out, go to the web site and register, then let me know and I’ll walk you through a trial game(you can null games so they don’t effect your win loss record)
-
RE: Can allies win?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
Also, AAMC keeps track of you win/loss record and ranks it’s menbers. So… everyone can see that I for one do not win all my games.
-
RE: Can allies win?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
Why not sign up at AAMC? They have a dice server and in case anyone is interested they suport team games. We could post the turns here.
BTW I’m the one Yanny is in line behind.
