      Does anyone have the ‘1941’ app? Its axis and allies 1941 and 1942 2nd ed for 3$. Has some flaws but works pretty good overall and looks great. An easy way to get games through google play games.

      Heres my take on minor power rules. These go along with the G39 simplified D6 rules i have posted.
      Specifically id like to know what people think on Dutch Holland
      Even more specific the text in blue

      Minor powers
      A minor power begins the game neutral, until activated, with no money. Each minor power may begin collecting IPCs on their first turn. As long as a minor power is neutral it may not attack or move, but may spend any IPCs collected. Once a minor powers capital falls to the enemy, it is never liberated. Its remaining territories become pro-Allied or pro-Axis friendly respectively. However its forces may continue to move and attack on their respective turns.

      Minor Allied powers, once activated, move and attack at the same time as the UK Common Wealth. However incomes and purchases are tracked separate. Any territories captured by minor Allied powers go to UK FEC (Asia/Pacific) or UK (Europe/Atlantic) respectively.

      Dutch Holland: Holland is activated when Paris is taken by the Axis or if any Dutch territory is attacked by the Axis. A Japanese attack on the Dutch is considered an act of war against the Common Wealth. The territory of Holland may produce up to 2 units per turn. Once activated, Holland may lend any unspent IPCs, after producing 2 units in Holland, to the UK. These IPCs may be spent on the same turn by the UK. If an Axis power captures Holland on round 2, that Axis power will not capture any Dutch IPCs (they are lost). If an Axis power captures Holland on round 3 or later, that Axis power will  receive half of the Dutch IPCs (round up), the rest are lost.

      Poland: Poland becomes an active minor Allied power if Warsaw survives Germanys first turn.
      NOTE: The Soviet Union may never activate Polish territories as pro-Allied neutrals. The Soviets are, however, free to attack and capture any Polish territories, including the capital of Warsaw, in which case the Soviets would capture any IPCs Poland has stored.

      Minor Axis powers, once activated, move and attack at the same time as Germany. However incomes and purchases are tracked separate.  Any territories captured by minor Axis powers go to Germany. Minor Axis powers may produce up to 3 units in their respective capital per turn.

      Finland: Activated by German occupation (non-combat) and/or a Soviet attack that fails to take the capital Helsinki. The Soviet Union and the Axis may conduct combat within Finland territories (Helsinki, Torin, Viipuri) without a state of war existing. No attacks into original Soviet territories may come from Finland or Finnish units until Germany and the Soviet Union are at war. Finland collects a fixed income of 3 IPCs per turn.

      Romania: Activated by German occupation (non-combat). No attacks may come from Romania or Romanian units until Germany and the Soviet Union are at war. Romania collects a fixed income of 6 IPCs per turn.

      Bulgaria: Activated by German occupation (non-combat). No attacks may come from Bulgaria or Bulgarian units until Greece is controlled by the Axis, and Germany and the Soviet Union are at war. Bulgaria collects a fixed income of 4 IPCs per turn.

      Argentina: Activated by German occupation (non-combat). Argentina collects a fixed income of 3 IPCs per turn. Capital is Viedma.

      Siam: Activated by Japanese occupation (non-combat). No attacks may come from Siam until Japan is at war with the UK Common Wealth. Japan collects all income from Siam and any territories captured by Siam forces.

      Regarding the Dutch:
      If Germany takes Holland round 1 there is no money to plunder, the DEI become pro Allied neutrals for the sake of the Common Wealth landing units in noncombat and taking the territories. The Dutch forces are activated by the German attack on Holland and may move with the Common Wealth on round 1.
      If Germany takes Holland round 2 the Dutch money collected on round 1 is all lost. DEI become pro allied, Dutch forces activated.
      If Germany takes Paris but not Holland on round 2, Holland may spend its money it collected on round 1 and move/attack with the Common Wealth as a minor allied power
      If Germany takes neither Paris or Holland on round 2, Holland remains neutral but may spend its money (on up to 2 units, saving the rest) and collect again
      If Germany takes Holland on round 3 or later Germany receives half of the Dutch IPCs (round up), DEI pro allies, Dutch forces activated

      Alot of these I do too.  I have a house thread of my own here started.  It’s rather old now…  One thing I think that would be cool to keep from v6.1 is the rules regarding the Soviets and Nazis fighting each other in Finland without actually declaring war against one another.  Just adds a neat dynamic, but as you say, for the sake of simplicity, you can make do without it.

      I’ve tried this cheesy move two or three times, and barring the best possible situation (Japan has 4 unloaded transports you can deny them, and they DOW next round anyway to get the Philippines), it’s more a hindrance than a help to the Allies.  I don’t think I’ll be using it in the future.

      However, my biggest problem is USA being forced to split it’s IPCs between Europe and the Pacific theaters.  What?  Since when did the United States do an even split?  You’re disabling the American ability to flexibly respond to crises as they arise?  I.e., “looks like UK is going down due to Sea Lion and Russia is in deep doo doo.  Too bad we can’t spend more in the European theater, even though the Japanese fleet is destroyed…  Got to build more Carriers in San Francisco”  That’s crazy.

      I agree here, I’ve since changed my mind about this.

      @Uncrustable:

      Maybe just limit this 2 moves to 1M unit for Non-Combat Move.
      It is difficult to deploy units in combat order while travelling by train.
      So all other M2 units will still get an advantage over the rail movement.

      Not sure what your saying here, but it makes no sense to limit rail to certain units. And like i said would unbalanced land purchases.
      It is a noncombat only move.
      I thought it was also possible to make an attack move for 1M unit. Otherwise, why would a 2 Move units can have an interest to pick a 1M unit place? This 2M units can go as farther, and anywhere.

      SORRy, I reread the post, you add+1 to all ground units. Fine.

      Your IC idea makes sense.
      But how would you do it?
      It would most likely create confusion yes?
      No difference from a regular SBr, just watch how many damage token under IC and reduce the number of unit moving 2 spaces by the same amounts. Damage on StRail is included in the regular damage on IC from the SBR.

      Another way to limit it is never allowing SM from any VC outside of ‘friendly home territories’
      So the Axis would never SM from a VC in Allied territory, but they can within each others home lands.
      OK, I agree.
      Likewise for the Allies.
      This both adds historical realism (destruction of the land/cities and everything within during the battles fought to occupy enemy soil)
      and keeps it from being too powerful

      Uncrustable,
      why don’t use this game mechanics instead when attacking transports?

      @Baron:

      @Baron:

      @Uncrustable:

      Transports cost reduced to 6 IPCs.
      -When empty may move 3 spaces during noncombat move. No transport may move 4 spaces
      -Transport ‘evasive maneuvers’, each transport caught undefended by an attacking warship or plane may roll 1 dice. A roll of a 1 is a successful evasive maneuver and that transport is removed from battle and placed back on the game board, a transport that evaded an enemy attack while undefended may not unload units until its next turn.

      This is another way to play a defenseless transport which should be added in this thread to be complete on the optional rule for this topic.

      It makes me think about a similar but still a bit different way to played it also as a defenseless but not hopeless transport:

      When there is no more warships/aircrafts to defend transports, then each transport roll and for each “1” rolled in a specific round, one TT can escape.
      Attacker need to hit transport unit according to each attacking factor (ex.: subs @2/ DD @2 / CA @3, etc.) to destroy one transport.
      Each round any un-destroyed transport which haven’t been able to escape can still trying to roll “1” to escape.

      The combat end when, either all remaining transports have been able to escape, or have been destroyed.

      Their will be no more auto-die, no combat unit will be destroy and the naval combat is done according to usual A&A system rule: a roll is needed to destroy any unit and no unit able to destroy more than 1 unit in the same combat round.

      Since I play-tested it,
      I say it is much more interesting than auto-die and more balance way to keep some surviving TT than destroying expensive attacking units (one way or an other).

      I should add this detail:
      transport can get their evasive roll as soon as their is no more warships or planes on their side at the end of a combat round.

      Always attacking units can hit first, and it is only surviving transport which can get an evasive roll.

      Which means, for instance, if their is 2 transports at the beginning of a round and 2 are hitten by attacker’s units then their is no evasive roll.

      I agree with you 100%

      They have announced now that a ‘mystery war game’ will be added if enough money is raised
      That along with the fact that 50th remains out of the 5 new code able games leads me to believe 50th is what they are referring too

      I could be wrong of course
      And the kick started is only aimed at bringing the new games/upgrades faster
      They will most likely still be added, at some point in the near or distant future, if the kick starter were to fail

      The problem is that you need Java runtime in order to execute TripleA on your devices.

      Just google

      Java+IOS
      or
      Java+Android

      if you want to know more about this.
