      can a sniper shoot from a halftrack (head shot) and then the half track move away the same turn…

      i think vague, simplistic rules are being taken advantage of…

      A unit can only use the fighting platform if that vehicle does not move during assault phase.
      If unit attacks that vehicle with fighting platform must stay put.

      Has anyone ever considered adjusting the way the assault phase is done?
      As it is, one side performs all of their attacks and assault moves, then the other side does. It seems a bit imbalanced to me, in that it allowed “spotters” to spot for their mortars, then move into cover before the enemy gets to fire back, nullifying any inherent risk there should be for spotters. It makes an ability like “strike and fade” almost useless unless you win initiative. It makes it extremely difficult for the 2nd player to target anything. And it also creates strange scenarios where a highly mobile, weak unit like a jeep or half track can first move into a vulnerable position to prevent an enemy vehicle from claiming that hex, and then move out of range to be attacked when the second player gets their assault.

      A way that seems a little more balanced would be to have both sides do all their attacks in order, and then have both sides do their assault moves in order. While it doesnt fix all problems, it does balance things a bit.

      And let me tell you Mateo, I won initiative.  I still got burned by that pesky strike and fade because I was only able to disrupt the unit I attacked and it faded 2+ road bonus and high gear on it’s attack phase (5 freakin hexes).  After it attacked me of course. :cry:  Now it is in a safe spot where I can’t possibly reach it on my next turn and that disruption will "fade " away and it was all for nothing :x
      Damn those Panhards. :x

      But they are not technically “moving” if they are mounted on a Kfz or of the sort. :-D  At least that’s the way I’m interpreting it .
      It says “SPOTTER” can’t move.  And even if that Legal loophole doesn’t hold here, Spotter only applies to the extra dice friendly units roll if it spots like a sitting duck during it’s turn.  Unless my stat card has the wrong definition of spotter.  I’d rather not have that extra dice and zip around untouched. :evil:

      Of course depending on the map you roll on the effectiveness of German artillery.  With the wrong map you got a useless artillery unit that pretty much just locks down a straight line (1 or 2 hexes) with no width that vehicles can pass thru but just not park on.  Unless we are playing with overwatch. :wink:
      I thought that the Bimmers were faster than the Panhards.
      Panhards speed 4
      BMW      speed 5
      ???  I hope my stat cards aren’t wrong again. :?

      I read that link that Half-Track posted.  May–-------be a Char-Bi should cost 24, if you want to achieve historical results.  I kinda like being a slight under-dog.  It’s more challenging.  We’ll know after our game with the Tanks battling it out.  But then again if my Tank attk dice rolls stay with me again,  Maybe someone else could roll for me, because we won’t find out anything, except me getting smoked.  :-P
      And Mot is coming at you with an exact opposite army of mine.  Probably realizing that German Armor is no match for Char-bi’s.

      I agree, with those monster tanks the game feels limited to just a 1 on 1 boring tank battle. (1 bad roll and your toast)
      Personally I would rather not use these monster tanks unless with a 200pt build.

      I see what you mean Mot, but how do we get the units on our mapview modules.  Do we have to update when you bring new units into play? :?
      I do see all the current new units and they are on all my modules.
      I’m thinking we should be playing only with the maps with the version stamped on.

      What I don’t get is why we don’t have more players.  This game rules over the original A & A.  I mean that game was so text book.  There was almost a base formula to win that game every time.  The only thing that could set you back were extremely bad dice rolls.  (which is my luck of now in AAM,  but that will change)  I must say I did think it was great before being introduced to this.  Thanks to Half-Track.  Anyways I think I will soon have a new recruit.  Takes a lot longer to explain all this but well worth it.  You A & A people out there need to get with the program.  AAM RULES PERIOD.

      New requests please:

      SS Stormtroopers                        set 3                  German  (maybe should cost 7 instead of 6)
      Wermacht Veteran Infantrymen      set 4                  German  (steely resolve is cool)
