As far as I can see, as the UK push everything you can into Yunnun and if Japan goes for Burma, just hit their units their.

My solution. KISS and just make the US spend at least 50 IPCs in each thertre (10 before war). Unless you hsve 2 US players where you can keep them apart easily.

If you where that smart, you would have enough money for plastic surgery, and you might not even care because you see life so deeply.

    • RE: Do you want canada as a power

Somebody on this post said something about using defect peices to add induvisual unit stories. I have 1 American bomber slighty brocken and am going to use my Phillipans bomber for that.

I might even break an ANZAC infantry for the NSW one.

    • RE: The Hitler Options

Mabey their could be a Hitler peice that could go to Neturals a make their standing better towards Germany (eg True Netural to Pro-Axis).

And mabey he could cause agacent territories to have 3 inf to defend on 3 or something.

If he dies, they loose that advantage, and Russia, UK and US claim a 1 time NO of 10 IPCs or something.

    • RE: Cruisers?

      Things we can do-

Give them AA (mabey 2 rolls per crusier)
      Give them extra movment (3)
Let them kill convoys (Ddisrupt 2 IPCs)
Let them be held back for SB
      Let them carry 1 infantry

      or

Stop sub-stalling buy-when a fleet with a crusier can move though a space with 1 units stalling by letting the fleet have 1 round of combat with the unit. If the unit is destoryed, the fleet can move its extra spaces. Anyone follow me.

In Pacific 40 I sometimes play that ANZACs move in the same round as the US after the fall of the Phillipans.

    • RE: American split income?

Exactly WW2 had ZERO teamwork with these exceptions:

      UK and USA in Europe

Germany tells Italy what to do because they pay their bills.

      The Soviets didn’t trust anybody

The British didn’t trust the Soviets

Italy just wanted the trains to run on time, and the have a large lake known as the Mediterranean.

Spain wanted to be on the winning side after it won

USA just wanted to keep Democracy alive after 1945

Japan wanted its own dominion in the pacific

Germany wanted a free hand in Europe

Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungry all wanted parts of western Russia for farming and lucrative contracts from the Reich.

This forgets the greatest (not most powerful) allience in world war 2. Was between AUS and the US. We were scared stiff of been invaided by Japan, the UK had sent most of or forces to africa and the rest to Singapor, along with all the navy to the Med and left us for dead after Pearl Harbour after we gave them everything.

MacCather came along, and with it tons of US forces and planes and gave real leadership to us. The US were not afraid of giving Aus all we needed because we were not a compeating power, and in return we put all our forces under US command.

We won Coral Sea, held liberate to Phillipans and ended up capturing Bereno.

And to this day we are still one of your greatest allies.

I hope people can just make a new version of the rules avabile as a .pdf and we would not need to have a FAQ the size of the bible.

And really well done Krieghuad. I hope you are getting paid more than you can even imanage because of all the work you are doing.

In 1944, the germans said they would have an a-bomb by 1946. They were also devolping stelth-fighters and uber LR bombers that could reach the US and back.

And if the US did have a A-Bomb, it would not be able to reach Berlin without Brittan as a base.

The Germanys just would have built lots of subs and when ever the US lauunced transports, the would be suck before going 10k.

If I was hilter, I would invade northen Canada, use airbases there to bomb the US to nothing, then use your army to work you way to Wasington.

You Americans need to remeber the US is not invisiable (GFC!!!).

If you can disrupt 2 convoys at a time, do Japan chose who to attack, does the allies or can they do both. eg SZ 1.

    • RE: Barbarossa

As far as I can see, I Japan goes after Russia it will take him to long to get to it. It will be at least J8 before he is a Mosocw gates, and by then, I they havent lost Japan, the Chiniese will have taken all of China, Brittish and ANZACs will have the DEIs and Japan will be on the verge off been taken.

Next time you get out Pacific, play with yourself and give away 10-30 IPCs a round into Russia (make a resonible set-up for them).

    • RE: Strategies J

On J3 I built a factory in FIC, and used my Siam airforce about 6 tacks, 7 fighters and 4 heavys to take the huge Brittish force at Yunnun. That was the end of China.  It also destoyed a lot of Brittish forces. That turn I built a major factory in Mayla. No need for anything else to go into China.

Meanwhile I was sending some subs and destoyers out to the Carolines. I sent a small carrier fleet to destroy the ANZACs of Sydney. That meant I could send my full naval fleet (less transport) to the Carolines.

I used Mayla to turn out units to crush India, and built an NB in FIC, and used that factory for naval builds. It was usually a carrier, 1 to 2 destoryers or mabey a sub. With so many planes, you did not need to buy anymore. I uesd 2 transports to take my other island NOs and had India taken in J6. Then I built 2 more transports (so I had about 10) and used Mayala to build 5 inf and 5 art to drop into WA.

But the USA had 3 transports, and a mega fleet of Hawaii and moved it to Queensland and droped all their transport units their. Then they destoryed the Japensese fleet and the Carolines and took them.

      More later

    • RE: Airbase Usefuleness

ABs are great for commute routes from island to island, factory to front etc, and for DEFENDING islands and the navy off its shore. So use ABs if you want to defend a fleet in its position, but for a moving fleet carriers are a great for shore bombard and holding newly captured SZ.

In short, AB for defense, AC for attack. Both have their point and its 1 or the other.
