I think I would have to say that a Japanese invasion of the Soviet Far East would have more Benificial for the Axis Powers then the Attack on th USA and her possesions.  If Japan timed her invasion of Russia with the Germans Operation Barborossa, I do not think that Russia would Have been Able to Recover from that.  The Problem really lies within Japans Ability to Render China Useless as a War Machine.  IMHO Japan Should have secured Peace on the Chinese front Before attacking anybody else.

Now the reality of it all Lies with Mother Russia.  What ever side she is On, WILL win the War.  History teaches us that the Land mass of that size, is VERY,VERY Difficult to control for any invading Power

But……

The Outcome of WWII in my opinion was/is largly based on Germany’s inability to knock the British out of the war.  Had Germany been able to do that, I don’t think it would really matter what Japan did after that point.

The only problem with Speculating about this is Hind sight is always 20/20.  It is easy to say now, what the Axis Powers did wrong or where they went wrong with their War “Game Plan”.

So i guess that depending on Japans Timing of a russian Invasion really won’t matter unless Japan did not have to fight China also.  Not to mention that Japanes Armour would have been tore apart facing the T-34 or any Russian tank for that Matter.

Germany and Japan should have Been Better friends and Cooperate their Military Might.  What I mean is What if Japan had Never Attacked the US. But instead took that same Pearl Harbour Fleet and a SNLF with them and Instead attacked Egypt and the Suez Canal along with Rommel and his Afrika Corps.  Egypt would surely fall and allow the Axis Powers access to the Suez and Basically the entire Middle East and her Vast oil resources.  Since Pearl Harbour Never took place, Amerika would still only be a Material supplier and not a Man power supplier…

Ok, If you would Like to Make a List of still exhisting mistakes I will see what I can do for you.

Since a '39 varient is wanted I make that  also.  It will come as a Overlay to the exhisting Map.  I use Plexi glass over all my boards. so after france Falls I just slide out the French Overlay. And if D-Day is Succesful, we can slide right bak Under with having to move a single piece.

I like Free for All’s or FFA’s as they are called in the AAA world.

I would totally play on this Map.  Something Different Now and Again is refreshing.

Honestly, I didn’t know what to think at first but when i got a larger and more detalialed pic. I like it some how.
Reminds me of a FFA I painted on the back of a sheet of Plywood.     Mine Looks childish in comparison, but fun 2 play.

As you can tell, I am a Fan of Totenkopf. Their Combat prowess is just Plain Awesome considering the BS it had to do also.

I have read many Books on the German War Machine, And what Germany had Accomplished in the 20 yr timespan between wars, is Just amazing.

Hitler Prior to the war, Was a Great Leader for Germany, He was in Charge basically when Germany was put back on the map Economically, and Militarily.

So what Happens if the Assination on Hitlers life is Successful? Does this mean Himmler is in Charge?  Sounds like instaed of a Assaination attempt, a culling of the leadership Herd was in order.

A good Chunk of Germanies Military was trained on Russian Soil before the war had Broke out.

Even Stalin was so Surprised he had to be Hospitalized for 3 days after the initial invasion of Russia.

Russia Did not Invade Eastern Poland. That was part of a Agreement.

Germany basically said we are invading Poland and Occupying it up to a Certain point. As a Sign of Peace, Germany basiccally allowed russia to occupy those “other” Territories in Poland.

Communism and National Socialism can co exist.  It’s when you throw in that Racial Bullshet, Thats when things get Screwy.

They Pissed that ability away the Second a German Soldior Crossed the Border into Russian Territory.

Pretty Quickly if they hadn’t Attacked Russia, And a Good Chunk of the Z-Plan would have been Realized, Making the KGM more then a Heavy hitting Token Fleet.

I am completly Convinced had the Russians and Germans Stayed Allies. The Axis would have won WWII, weather it happens in 1935, or 39, or 45.

The UK and The US would not Stand a Chance Against them.

I am really happy to see people taking this Map on. Makes Me feel like I didn’t waste Hours upon Hours making the map and Playtesting it.

I would wait on Making your Cruisers since the Anniversary Edition will include them.  :evil:
