Yes The Axis Powers Had a Huge chance to win the War.

But the Problem lies in the Fact that the Axis Powers decided to take them (the Allies) all on at one time.

It is so simple it is Scary how close the world could have come under the control of 2 Flags only.

The Sherman is Way Overatted IMO.  The Shear Numbers produced Alone Was it’s Only Advantage.

If I was A Tanker in WWII for what ever country I wanted, The Sherman would Most Likely be Near the Very Bottom of the List. I would Rather Drive a Assault Gun then a Sherman.

As For the “Mechanical” Problems For the TIGER I.

The Biggest one they Had was the Gearing in the Drive Wheels. When The Driver of the Damn thing Got to excited and Started Beating on the thing, The Gears would Shear Off and the Tank obviosly wouldn’t Move.  Kinda a Shitty thing during a Tank Battle. I Know I would Put the Hammer Down if My vehicle CO. said Go.

I sure Beat the Crap out of my APC in the Service.

But again it is Not Fair to Compare Shermans or even the Easy Eight Model to Tigers and Panthers, Let alone the K Tiger.
It’s like comparing Apples to Oranges, not a fair Comparison.

If you are going to compare Shermans to Stuff, Then the real fair way, would to only Compare Shermans to PzIV, or T-34/76.

or Just Compare the Sherman Base Chasis with other Base Chasis of Vehicles in it’s class

The iowa and its sister ship were the biggest bship of ww2 and in history but i love the enterprise though as well

Luftwaffe Wins Battle over Britain,  Germany wins War.

If the UK has No Air Force, They will not Be able to Defend themselves Adaquetly (sp) enough.

The Royal Navy in the Atlantic would all but not exhist by the time Dec. 7th 1941 comes around.

So with No UK Airforce, Germany won’t need a Huge Navy to conduct Landings in the UK, it’s only 30 miles Away.

Germany Takes UK by the End of 40’  So now They Can Completly Concentrate on Russia, Without UK around, Japan and Germany can Fight Russia at same time, And America Hasn’t even entered the War yet.

Your Pieces in that Fire Storm Game Appear to be very Nice, Do they have them for the Rest of the Major Participants of WWII

Thats exceptional from the Pics. I would have No Problem throwing them into the game with revised style pieces. The T-34’s are really Nice looking IMO. Honestly, How Close in related Scale are they?

Could Some one Take a Pic Comparing the size difference between the 2 Games pieces, Like Tank vs Tank in same Pic?

we played a 4 player game on the world at war Board that was put together.

Axis Powers had russia on the ropes, big time, they were a little to hesitent to attack though. so because they waited, Both germany and Japan fell on the Same turn using “Joint Strike” NA

Hmmm.  Germany vs Russia, Great topic.

In my humble opinion, Germany would have Crushed Soviet Russia Hands Down.

Remember Stalin had to be Hospitilized for 3 days after germany invaded. This was because he was in Shock. He couldn’t believe that his (at that time Ally Germany) had invaded.
Lets say Germany waits until 43 or early 44 to open up hostilities, and up until this time acts as a Ally to Stalin.  Stalin would have seen no need to Build up hi MilitARY during this time, and still would have been caught off guard just like in 41.
Only this time Germany has all of her Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Wheremacht, and SS Divisions to focus on Russia.
Waiting until 43 or 44 means that russian winter would not have been such a huge factor.

Technology for Germany would far surpass anything that the Russian would have.  What I mean is, Germany started WWII in 1939, Now had Germany had 4 more years of “peace”, The V-2 Programs would have been far beyond what they were historically at, Germany would have a Very Large Jet Aircraft Fleet, And the German Z plan would be Nearly complete.

But the Biggest Issue would still be, Could Hitler and his Cronies be able to Play the role of Liberators over Conquerers.
Probably Not, But even if they played the role of Conquerer, as long as the germans treated the Russian Civilians Better then what Stalin and his Regime did, The russian Populous would still side with Germany.

In my Opinion Germany’s Biggest Down Fall was the Halocaust. over 8 Million lives wasted, That could have been 4 million more soldiors and 4 Million more production workers for the war Effort. The Nazis Blaming their WWI Loss on the Jews is Just wrong and stupid. Most German Jews wanted to be German first and then Jewish.

Germany lost WWI Because of the 4 million Doughboys sent “over There” IMHO.

I think Spain would be more tempting of a choice had that country not been in recovery from a bloody long civil war. With a better navy than Turkey, first-class ports for U-Boats and Gibraltar for the grab Spain does look tempting.

It is because of the recent Spanish Civil war I choose Turkey, But that is the only reason.  Spain is a Very Nice Location for the U-Boat Fleets, and Makes a Nice refit and refuel Station fro the Kriegies without having to get to close to UK. Not mention Gibralter would be in German Hands and There for the Med would also belong to the Axis By Default.

Although Turkey would have been nice to have for Russian Operations, My Nazi Germany would have not Attacked Russia, Until Churchills Fat Head was on a Pole in the Middle of Berlin.  Sorry Ranting again…

Now picture it……

Japan Sail 3-4 0f her Fleet size Carriers and all the Supporting Cast including Ships like Kongo, and Yamashiro, and some Escort Carriers like Shoho, and take the Suez, Sail into the Mederteranian Sea, Link up with the Regina Marina, Together and Brake out into the Atlantic, Link up with the Kriegsmarine to Support Operation Sealion.  The Combined Force of the 3 Nations together fighting for the common goal of a British Defeat, would have been much more effecctive on the outcome of the war then a 2nd Russian front.  The remainig Imperial fleet could easily handle the British possesions in the Pacific.

Now this only works if No one Attacks Russia or the USA…Yet :evil:
