All the links work now except for the Neutrals, which is really no big deal.
Finally with the release of “Flank Speed” from War at Sea, I have all the Neccassary pieces to blow this map up into a 8x4 size and use Version 1 AAM’s and War at Sea pieces instead. I will post pics when I get the map printed. Should be in a couple weeks

I have another game coming up this week and will try the following modification:
India/Calcutta: 3 Unit max placement (per map posting)
Australia/New South Wales: 2 Unit max placement (per map posting)
Canada/Quebec: 1 Unit max placement (per map posting)In addition, the UK player may place 1 unit of their choice on one of the 3 minor powers per turn.
We Actually stole “Common Wealth Troops” from some where on these boards and replaced the National Advantage “Colonial Garrison” and Inserted.
Common Wealth Troops- The UK player may place 1 free infantry per turn in any of Quebec, Calcutta, New South Wales IC’s. This Inf. does not count against Build limits of said IC.
We almost always Play with NA’s. Or should I say Refined NA’s. The majority are From Revised.
Russia all same except
Lend Lease- just like b4, but now the units need to be at a IC to “Transform”
Trans Siberian Railroad- removed completly, it’s on the map and replaced with another “Stolen” NA
Guards Tank Army- any Russian Tanks defending in Moscow, Stalingrad, or Lenin Grad def. on 4’sGermany All the Same- Luftwaffe Dive Bombers look really tasty Now :evil: especially if you use escort rules
UK
Common wealth troops replaces Colonial Garrrison
Enigma decoded removed and replaced with ( Can’t remember, too lazy to go look right now)JPN
Kamikaze is an actual unit they can build
Kamikazi 2,0,4(1) cost 5. It has First strike and called shot. It’s combat move is 1 it’s Non combat move is 4Kaiten Torps is changed to Island Bases.

Ind. Tech -reduces the cost of units by 1, but only 1 type of unit can be declared, ie. Air units, Land Units and Sea Units this picked randomly roll d6 1,2= Land,3,4= Sea etc….
Super Carriers- can base 3 planes
Long range Arty. Allows a Prlimanary Bombardment
Don’t remember the 4th one :xhope this helps you a little

If its a 4-4-2-8, then by the math that has been offered it offers nothing because a group of 3-3-2-5 tanks together make it a weaker unit. say 5 heavy tanks vs 8 normal tanks. math says the 8 will win.
What are trying to say? Increasing the cost does what?, you said it yourself, the 8 will most likely beat the 5. So you want to handicap this unit more by making it more expensive? And you want to restrict it even more by limiting build limits?
I don’t see the logic.
Adding Special Ability’s Makes more rules to remember and Strays from the KISS method. And only adds cost to the unit that is already handicapped by price when numbers on the board count. So you give it a Prelimanary Def. Bombard ment. They hit on what 1’s? A 1-6 chance doesn’t justify for the price increase either. Cool my tank has a AA gun that shoots At land units. And we all know how often these things hit.( not when needed too :wink:)You want Def. Bombardment, Invent H. Artillery or a tech that allows such an action to take place. That would make much more sense.

I DisAgree,
A land unit that has a 4 Defense has 1 really big Advantage. It does not have to end it’s move in a Friendly Territory you controlled at the begining of your turn. You no longer have to commit your fighters to those Iffy Defensive positions either. It would not take the place of Med Tanks either Based on Cost Alone. This unit is what you folks sound like you want in a Heavy Unit. A Defensive H. Tank.
8 IPC’s is Just Cost for a 3,4,2 Tank. Expensive ( Your not going to have a stack of these like you would w/ med. Tanks) yet Cost effective if used correctly.
A Down side could be that only 1 fits in tranny, No infantry ride alongs
A Cost of 8 is also the same (or was) as Trans, and Subs. Both Complicated and Expensive units to Build.
Yah but I am afraid that if it costs 8 or 9, and it should cost 9 to show how hard it was to make heavy tanks, then a fighter will almost always be a better buy.
That makes no sense… So by that line of thought, Why Does a Bomber cost 12 IPC’s and a A Cruiser Cost 12 pts?
America pumped out far more Bombers then Cruisers And Yet they Cost the Same. But Obviously one was much “Harder” to build. :roll:

Which is a Major load of Legal Bull Shet. Triplea Was the best thing since Sliced bread. Got a new computer and went to DL it, and found the Letter from Hasbro. I almost cried. Tried Dl’ing from Media Fire. Not happening, I think I felt a tear. :cry:

Let the Italians Hold France, and Keep Germany in a Position to fight Russia and be able to push the Allies off of France if Italy Fails to Hold. Italy, if they lose france should be able to Weaken the Invasion forces enough to the opoint where GE can easily take it back without spending to much of their Resources on it. Then Keep pusshing the Italians back In for the Defence

It seems that the general consensus is that Heavy Tanks shouldn’t be able to blitz,
I think they should be able to Blitz. you pay a Arm and a Leg for them, and generally when you move 2 spaces, you can almost be certain the first space would be on improved roads.

I wouldn’t pay more then 8 IPC’s for a tank or any other land unit for that matter. I personally would rather have a fighter for $2 more. As Nice as Tanks Are, They can’t attack Shipping. Planes are sweet also but they can’t take territory but they can move out of an area after a attack.
Planes have a total Movement of 4 and the tank, even with Panzer Blitz, is only a 3.
Hypothetically
Your Tank costs $8 and is a 4,4,2. (could even be 3,4,2)
No special abilities unless you are Germany w/ Panzer Blitz, and is restricted to land combat onlyYour Fighter cost $10 and is a 3,4,4
Can Aquire Jet Fighters, can escort Bombers, and act as interceptors, can attack on land or in the SeaNow comparing the 2 units side by side, IMO you get more bang for your Buck with airplanes as far as flexibility.
The H Tank is useful for putting up a nice Defence with out having to commit your air power to do the same job for $2 less dollars.
Each piece has it’s own Niche or roll to fill and are both valuable assets to any ones forces if used correctly.
Both of these pieces are useless without Boots on the ground though. In any attack or defense, Inf. are at the heart of it all.

i am glad i did not pay retail.
The plus side is for me is that atleast the Jap. color is the same as the original revised.
Oh and that I know have a couple cruisers and 109’s instead of stukas.No tech is retarded, No National Advantages is retarded
New Stratigic raid rule is okay as well as the recosting of Naval Units and how transports behave in combat.
But all in all, All I got IMO opinion is a new rules insert and extra Pieces.

But at this stage Hitler should have realized it wAS A LONG SHOT TO WIN THE WAR. Hitler should have sent all her resources on Super Subs. :roll: That way they could take full advantage of their Wolfpack NA. :evil: :roll:
