This game has to do with luck then any other A&A game because of the low income.

The price of the game is great for beginners.

I play this game every week with beginners to get them hooked with A&A.

What will the purpose be for a abacus in A&A games???

Speaking for my fellow teens, we don’t like playing “chess by mail.”  Triple A might be good for busy young adults that can only manage a turn a day, but if you really want to make people get in on this game, show them a physical copy.  1941 is a great starter because it offers simplicity and good action.

I know this is an opinated view, but I just don’t think playing virtually is an interest catcher.  I have had immense success just convincing someone to take the dice and IPCs and go.  Unfortunately, the only easy way to get players is to recruit independent A&A gamers that already exist, or physically introduce the game to those you know.

Youtube is a great place to communicate to others about the game, but it is more for people that are already “in there.”  One does not go searching Axis and Allies unless they own a copy.

The other problem is getting people on .org.  This place is reserved for fanatics, extreme strategists, customizers, and people looking for help.  Of course, the rest of the majority is Triple A players.  This might sound heartless, but an old-school website such as this just might be destined for ultimate bankruptcy when its old generation is gone.

That’s why I am seeking people to play A&A 1941 with me. So far I am having success with it. I am recruiting the next batch of A&A players. However I don’t see anything wrong with the virtual world of A&A. You can always get to play a game with someone on TrippleA, but not always in the real world.  8-) 8-) 8-)

In 1984, and I was 20 years old. My brother got the game, and he was 13 years old. I definitely hooked on it big time. It was an addiction for me, and my brother. I quit playing in the early 2000s, but now I started playing again in the summer of 2017. The main A&A game that I play is 1941. The reason that it my main game is to introduce to the people that hasn’t played it yet, So far I played the game with eleven people, and I have more people that wants play that game with me that hasn’t play yet.  8-) 8-) 8-)

It all started with me with WW2 toys back in the early 70s. When A&A 1984 came out I became a addict, and the rest is history.  8-) 8-) 8-)

Other option if you need to keep that 5 icp tank in game reduce Japan tanks to A2 D3 C6.

If you’re trying to be realistic with Japanese tanks, make them A2 D1 C10.

That’s about where they would be in reality to Japanese tank design and cost value.  :wink:

Any member that contributes, and not be annoying (a pain to others) that  leaves will be missed.  If Wolfshanze is that, drop him a line , and ask him what’s been happening. More the merrier. Who knows who will come up with the next eureka idea for A&A that Larry harris may use.

Here is another idea. Since the USA can’t do anything until the 4th round, have them save their IPCs in the rounds that they are not at war. When war comes to the USA, they will have a lot of IPCs to spend accordingly on what they need depending on the situation at hand.

You can ship equipment from Alaska to Soviet Far East since they are next door to each other.

RND is basically hated in G40 mostly because no one except the US can really afford to spend that kind of money and even then, you shouldn’t do it because you’re wasting money you should be using to build a fleet you will need as soon as US can get into the fight, the last thing you want to deal with is 4 wasted turns of RND for nothing and Axis are tearing up the Allies and you’re just now build a fleet.

How about invest in research, and technology??? It’s something to think about since they can’t do anything until round four.

Buy stickers for the dice. Put a sticker on one of the sides of the dice. This represents a att/def value of one. Add one sticker per side for different att/def values.
