the allies would still have won but it would take longer. the japanes did have the advantage in the start of the war. by attacking pearl harbor, and by the superior naval fleet in the pacific. the germans had a great fighting force. and naturally they are really good fighters. however the economic power of the united states the the loyal british troops would have over powerd the axis. as well they had the loyalty of the entire continent of europe. mostly of france. plus if the scientific exploration in theory went on as it did if russia was in in the war. america would have been the first country with the atomic bomb. we all know the out come of these terrible bombs. we all know the effect it had on japan. what we dont know is what effect it would of had on germany. we also dont know if we would have used it.

RE: Western Europeposted in Axis & Allies Classic
you could build units and send them to western europe. a good size of inft on w.europe is good. but i believe if you buy figters, that would work as well. build fighters and attack the uk navy every turn. this will stop them from w. europe. and for america, they will try to attack w. europe. hence a lot of troops on w europe. then attack there transports with your figters. this will take out the usa land forces, and have them start over with there navy. if that does not work i believe have a sizable force in w europe. say 10 inft. and then have about 6 inft in germany and s europe.

RE: Russian first roundposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
i think that the USSR. should go on the offensive first round. attack a german territory or so. this would take the germans ipc down a little and cause the germans to rethink there strategy. and if you attack the ukrain, it would cause the germans to take one extra turn to get to the heart of the russians.

USA peopleposted in Axis & Allies Classic
this is the USA. the sleeping giant. the US is the economic power house. but its main land is the farthest away from the conflict. this gives the US some breathing room to build up its forces. even if just for a few turns. but if the US does not hurry the USSR may be in trouble. at first as the US you must decide who you want to go after first. if you choose japan you must build a strong navy. even though the japanese will take out the fleet in hawaii more than likly. make sure thair is an ac and two fighters on it. this is the best defeanse in my opinion of the game. then buy sever transpots, with infantry and tanks. once that happens in my opinion you must island hop. taking the islands of the pacific(even though they are not worth a lot). then take the main land asia. this will cut off the most ipc for the japanese. however if the japanese are growing rappidly go for main land asia first. take there ipc. however the island of the pacific will provide staging grounds for a possible invasion of america. if you want to go after germny you must build lots of offenseive units, and even more defeansive units. you have to build an occupation fleet. you can not win the war against germany without a foothold in europe. and that is not possible without a lot of defeansive units. that would be infantry and a few fighters. this will provide with an easing of the pressure of the USSR by germany. but allowes you to put offensive power there by the UK and by the US. in the end with will prove to much for germany.

RE: India I.C.posted in Axis & Allies Classic
i have to agree. japan should be all over india if there is an ipc there. like the abouve comments. it will help out japan greatly, and advance any conquest of the USSR by a few turns. the allies would be a bit harder pressed if japan took it.

RE: Think people part 2posted in Axis & Allies Classic
that is true. an allies superior air force would destroy any germany menace in the atlantic. it would divert some ipc from the front against the USSR. however if the germans do land in brazil it would do two things. divert the economic power house for a few turns. as it would give germany a plus 3 ipc, atleast for a little while. as well you can then transport troops to africa or to invade the UK. if you dont invade the UK you can fake like you do. divert a turn or to of the UK to defeanse. taking more pressure of of germany for a little while.

RE: Think people part 2posted in Axis & Allies Classic
the initial plan was just an idea. alot of people do buy tanks to take out the USSR. alot of people do take out the UK fleet and alot of people do take out africa. but why not throw in some different strategy. i think doing this will mix it up a little. you can also use these transports to take out brazil. who knows invade america. if you land with a large enough fleet that is. take out america, and then you will have enough ipc to take on any country. might give it a shot.

RE: Common peopleposted in Axis & Allies Classic
i will have to say that germany is dictates the tempo of the game. cause if germany starts off strong, the allies are in a bind. this will put the axis in a slight lead early in the game. but if germany starts to hurt in the games start the axis is in trouble. germany is the muscle. if it gets strained then the axis will loose.

common people. notes to the public. i know most of the strategy i use are not that popular. or a lot of them are not alwyse smart. but think about it. spice it up and play. if it works then do it. if it does not. take notes think and do something different. as well i make an attempt to encorperate the military training i have into the strategy i use. yes i am in the army. currently in iraq. the small free time i am alloted i try to take my mind off of the usual iraq day. so the strategy i do post might not be the best but it is good. as well as i will post some basic strategy for all of the countries. as in general rules that i find that are good to follow. thank you for your time

Common people part 4posted in Axis & Allies Classic
common people. this is japan. japan is one of the least difficult countries to be. in fact its the esiest other than america. we all know japan is an island with a big navy. a navy that is rivaled by the US fleet in hawaii. the US also has a few navy units in western america sea zone. these units are not a threat. atleast not at the start of the game. however the fleet in the hawaii island is a threat. you must make a choice on what to do even before you purchase your units. either take out the hawaii fleet. or leave them be, and let them pick you off later in the game. my choice is to take them out. however some people choose not to. and just focus entirly on asia. this idea is good but costly. i believe you must take out the navy in hawaii. even though this puts you in a direct combat with the second wave of the US navy.
the strategy for japan is taking out any navy threat. witch means hawaii on your first turn. then you need to land some units in asia. this will be dificult if the allies do a japan first strategy, and or the UK and US have industrial complex in asia. if this is the case you need not take the hawaii fleet. simply load your transports with troops and bring your fleet to the waters of india. then land your troops and take the indian complex. if this does not happen, then asia should be yours easily. you need no industrial complex. simply a lot of transports. land many apon many troops in asia. suppor them with few tanks and a fighter or two. take china province first followed by india. if you buy an indusrial complex place it as far as possible from harms way. and buy nothing but inft for your first several turns. if you go with the transport strategy buy one transport per turn for atleast 4 turns. once you get china and india, march on the USSR. once this happens buy tanks, planes and inft. yet you have to do all this within i say 3 turns. this is a must if you want to win. more than likly the allies will focuse on germany. and germany will not hold out against the economic might of the allies.
so all you really need is transports and ift with japan your first 4 rounds. after that tanks and planes. if you all can help me have strategys with japan that would help. im not good with themp.s i hardly play with japan. for some reason japan and the UK are the countries i play the least. i do not know good strategy with japan.

common people. we all know what the UK could do. we all know that the UK focus is german. we also know that most german players will take out the UK naval fleet, as well as take africa. atleast part of it any way. so inevdibly in my opinion. the USSR is not the most screwed in the game, its the UK. they are incapable of retaking there territory they lost, and need several turns to rebuild there fleet. so in order to maxamize the UK you need to buy in my opinion fighters and bombers, subs and tranports. the reson behind the fighters and bombers is to bomb the snot out of germany. and to help out the USSR out in defeanse. the subs and transports are self explanatory. the subs will be simply fotter if the germans decide to attack with there air force. the transport are for the units going to europe. however i believe you should buy fighters and bombers for 2-3 turns. and allow the USA to build up first. this allows the UK to weaken the western europe and allow the USA to land troops there. then build the UK navy when the german air froce is depleted. also this will give the UK time to get more ipc. as the united states will attemp to retake africa for the UK.

Think people part 2posted in Axis & Allies Classic
think people. we all know the options presented for the USSR at the start of there turn. what is a little less predictable is germans opening round options. the USSR has many options to do damage to the germans IF they opt to attack at all. what ever move the USSR makes the germans must counter the allies twice as hard. they first must take back any territory they lost to the USSR. they also must take out the UK fleet. you need some major air support for this as well as any navy you have left. in attacking the USSR you must attack with plenty of inft and a few tanks. you can expend the inft the first round or two cause you SHOULD have taken out the navy threat from the UK. you also must take africa. this will do several things. this will decrease the UK ipc and increase the germans ipc. if you dont take the USSR the allies in my opinion will not fall. so just be aggressive. attack and attack some more. as the rounds move on you need to buy some air craft. fighters cause they are cheap and have a good defeanse. but a bomber or two once in a while would do some good as well. but your first round buy some inft. your second round buy some tanks. so when your troops do what they do best. die. you will have some replacements. every turn after turn 2 you need to buy atleast one fighter. in my opinion you will need to up it to two per turn if and when you conquer moscow.
but you can not take the USSR without the japanese help. this is another part in my 5 part series.
