RE: Variable's and Tall Paul's Naval Game Ideasposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
While i am excited about seeing a naval game, the amount of new pieces in this game is what will complicate it. For those of us who are diehard fans it wont be a problem, it will just take some time before we can introduce it to others. Maybe we could think of 2 sets of rules, one which uses standard pieces maybe? without all the new units? Or maybe just some? Just a thought anyway. A game that concentrates on navy and air will be great, i look forward to some epic naval battles, keep up the good work gang.

RE: New axis and allies gameposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I would love a naval game, i find that in all the games i have played we dont get to spend enough on fleets, it’s all about the island or land campaigns, so would be nice to have an all naval game….my 2c

I can see big problems, a lot of us will miss out because you wont have enough to fill the demand……or maybe i’m just being impatient, can we pre-order so we don’t miss out?

RE: Best Srat Ideasposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
While i enjoy reading through all the strategy topics and getting ideas, so much of it can fall flat on a bad throw of dice…… Have played many games with what i thought was good strategy only to lose with one or two bad throws.

RE: Printing Your Large Supreme Mapposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I scanned my revised board, enlarged and printed it out, it measures over 5foot by 3, i also enjoyed big world on triplea so i made my own and printed it as well. I stuck them down on each side of a large sheet of cardboard and covered with clear contact. No more knocking over units in tight territories. Have pics in my mediafire account but am not allowed to post on here as yet.

Could put it down as " Fog Of War", how easy it is for us when the board is in front of us, we can survey the whole world.

Love your work, wish my hands were a bit more steady. I’ve used a paint wash, but hadn’t heard about an ink wash.

RE: Painting Techniques for 15mm Infantry, 1/285 Micro Armor and 1/2400 Navy Metals/posted in Miniatures Painting & Modeling
It is always good to learn new tricks. Many years ago i painted my 2nd edition pieces. Some were a bit rough but i was happy with them. I brought the revised version and i learned how to do a black wash, worked well on my ships. Have just received the new aa40 pacific and europe, my new painting project begins. :-)

Does anyone still play?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
Hi all, i have owned the 2nd edition for many years, has seen a lot of wear, am using it to introduce my boys to the aaa world. I dont get many real opponents, most of my games have been solitaire and it doesn’t work the best that way. I did paint all the units a long time ago, didn’t do the infantry but was quite pleased with my results. Does anyone still play?
