No… the japanese transport plane was the Mitsubishi Ki-57…

The japanese bomber will be the Betty so… not all nations have 4 engine bombers, no problem with the SM 79.

My vote goes to the SM79 as heavy bomber

Which models were used to design the italian trucks and halftracks?  Really looking forward to see those beauties!  :-D

The italian transport is fine. As for the italian heavy bomber… you cant go wrong with the Savoia Marchetti SM 79, it was the most used and recognized easily. I found drawings of the two, the SM 79 and the piaggio p-108.

Piaggio P.108 Bombardiere this one is nice, large and has 4 engines - heavy bomber.

Keep that one for the japanese bomber and use the Savoia Marchetti SM 79 sparviero for the italian bomber. It is easy to recognize and was an icon of the regia aeronautica as it was largely used.

If not, use as a model an italian heavy bomber with 4 engines.

Hmm…that italian heavy bomber doesnt seem like the SM 79… and the bomber that comes with AA50 is the same as the japanese bomber…  :?

Well, but that mold looks great but it’s the japanese betty bomber.

Seems like the ANZAC infantry is just another British soldier with different colour… :(

Maybe this is an expansion… I dont  know… It doesnt make sense to release another version of global AA 5 years after AA Revised…!

That is something that makes me bored too: triplea graphic standards. The worst part is that almost no triplea player seem to care about the basic graphics of the maps :? :? :? If I created this map, you can do it too… just take your time. It is possible to have a nice map and balanced.

Portugal and Spain I accept, But Switzerland and Sweden?! 10 infantry in switzerland??? Wow… for that you would have to give Germany about 100 Infantry spread around… They didnt invade switzerland because it was a waste of time, not because of the force defending… The same with Sweden, they were getting the good stuff out of there, why invade if they collaborate…?!

Even Portugal and Spain were friendly with both the Axis and the Allies, Spain couldnt build such guerrilla… it was devastated.

The game mechanics for sure evolved, but I rather put my hands on the game before giving my final words… we’ll see…

I understand they didnt really promised new molds for all the italian units, but recycling other nation units is not a way to go in an anniversary edition… thats not evolution in the piece department…

Like someone said, I would rather keep the UK sherman and introduce the Savoia Marchetti bomber…

The Matilda would make more sense for a Alamein game, and this is a wasted opportunity to really introduce Italian units for such a future game…

The italian messerchmitt I buy it…it looks similar to an italian macchi folgore. The italian navy is the real disappointment: they had a great navy in both ship classes and quantity to allow several choices for cruisers, battleships, destroyers, transports, carriers and submarines…

Its completely ilogical. I guess they were expecting to release a Alamein game and then use those “really new italian units” in this game… but that was before someone remembered an anniversary… and screwed big time.

For AA Europe there were 25 new molds… and this is the anniversary edition… OK
Just remember, the molds are the costy thing… the pieces get cheaper by the big numbers…and thats what you get in this game… 600+ pieces… but for MORE $$$$$. Just think about it.

Italian “new” pieces:

infantry = NEW; hurray!!!
artillery = old japanese one;
armour = old japanese one;
fighter = german messerchmitt;
bomber = I really dont know but Im afraid is more of the same “AH new”-old AA German bomber;

battleship = german biscmark?!?
cruiser = “new” german cruiser
transport = old german transport
destroyer = old german destroyer
submarine = old german submarine
bomber = I really dont know but Im afraid is more of the same “AH new”-old AA German carrier;

Now now…whats this deal?! Is AH joking or what?! 100$ ( probably 100€… ) and they reuse the same molds with different colours?!

You know where this will lead dont you? 4 years from now youll see another “development” in the A&A game and another promise of “super-new-molds-for-the-new-old-italian-nation…” probably 150$… they promise 1000+ pieces and we all get happy!!!  Thats ridiculous.

I guess they cant throw a game with all the goodies… they have to squeeze all the juice…and the longer they do it, more $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Pieces are cheaper by larger numbers… the only costy thing is the MOLD of the pieces…

So where does this leaves us? Misleading advertising… Why do you think AH didnt give details/images about this game? Only promises… you go with the hype! and pre-order the game like there is no tomorrow…

You are out of luck, there are some websites I found that have the game but only sell to brazil… (Im portuguese…)

Its almost 2 months for the official release, something must start showing… the cover isnt much help… Diplomacy showed the board and pieces at the AH website… Aquire the same…
