The US is supposed to be able to distribute it’s income equally or rush one side depending on the board. I think from a design standpoint the US is supposed to act as a clock. If as the Axis you can’t win before the US begins churning out units at you, you haven’t played it well enough. That is what happened historically.

RE: Sgt. Wonko's & TMTM's 1940 Global Module for ABattlemap
Is this mac compatible or no?

RE: Ozeta's 1941 setup
My group is playing it next week and I’m looking forward to it. I’ll let you know.

RE: Sgt. Wonko's & TMTM's 1940 Global Module for ABattlemap
The file for abattlemap is .exe which is a windows extension. I am on a macintosh. Is there a mac version of this or am I out of luck?

RE: Sealion alpha 2+
Good point. I agree that for their next product, if I do buy it, it will be months after the release.

RE: Sealion alpha 2+
I agree with some your points guys, but don’t you think the blame should lay on the publisher that rushes the product to release? I don’t see why the designers should be blamed. They did after all come up with the Axis and Allies games that we all love and play. I just think the blame is misdirected is all.

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Any word or previews on the American units yet?

RE: Sealion alpha 2+
it is a silly statement- it was by design. I know because I was a part of that design process.
I think you guys did a great job. Alpha +2 is a vast improvement from OOB and a great game. Thanks for your hard work!

RE: Sealion alpha 2+
I mean they obviously didn’t randomly determine the changes. Regardless of what you think of the designers that’s a silly statement.

RE: Family portrait for a truly global game
That’s awesome. You should consider setting up a grand global package. I would seriously consider buying it.

RE: Coach should make these roundels?
I have been dying for some weather and terrain tokens. Please make those.

RE: Sealion alpha 2+
I think that was the whole point of the changes made in Alpha 2 and I’m glad they did it. Sea Lion should be a huge risk, not a standard opening.

RE: Out of Box or Alpha 2?
OOB is dead the water, Alpha is definitely the way to go.

RE: The next 4 sheets of Roundels
Red star and Japan. I won’t go into my tirade either. I apologized by the way dadler. I don’t know if you saw that.
Yes I did see that Sanchez.
Actually, the symbol that you see on the majority of WW2 German military equipment is not the “Iron Cross”. That symbol has curved sides which make the center intersection narrow while making the four edges wide. That was more the symbol of the German military for WW1. The straight black cross symbol outlined in white, and sometimes with a very thin black line outside of the white, is called the “blakenkreuse” , literally translated as “black cross”.
Interesting, I did not know that.

RE: A&A Players Handbook
@Trisdin:
I have been working for weeks, cutting and pasting everything I can find online onto 1 document just so if I want to verify an updated rule in our global game, I can find it in one place. it is about 80% done but man is it a lot of work. (don’t worry wizard lawyers, I won’t be trying to sell it).
Well I hope you upload it to the site!

RE: The next 4 sheets of Roundels
@Imperious:
Right. No on Swastika. But he could do that other German logo they have on the tanks the ‘+’ sign
The Iron Cross. This actually was the symbol of the German military at the time. To my knowledge the only military hardware to sport the swastika was some Luftwaffe planes due to Goering’s close connection to Hitler.

RE: The next 4 sheets of Roundels
My “other” vote was for a Swastika roundel.
I’m not going to launch into my tirade, but if you’ve been following the other posts he will not be doing a swastika.

RE: A&A Players Handbook
I think a hardcover and online version would be good. Games Workshop does that with their Specialist Games all the time.
Sounds like the way to go in my opinion. If i had the time I’d make it and sell it myself. Then again I’m sure an army of lawyers from WOTC would pursue me across the globe if I did.

RE: A&A Players Handbook
Great idea. But I’d prefer an online publication. It would have the benefits of a) being free and b)easily changed and updated. At the rate rules are changed it just seems silly to publish such a guide. The minute it is out there will be dozens of changes. Having it online allows it to be updated constantly and allows all of us fanatics to add our two bits (such as house rules and such).
