      i am looking for some scenarios involving soviet and german unit’s, i only have map’s from the 1939-1945 set, i have searched the internet for scenarios and cannot find any. i do not have many german units, mostly panzer III’s and pak 40’s and enough infantry for 3 - 5 platoon’s (panzerfaust, kar 98, goliath, haupsturmfuhrer, mortar) similarily, of the soviet units i have (ppsh-smg, mosin-nagant, commisar, cossack captain,) and T34-76’s

      alright, thank’s, is 1939-1945 the only large scale set, it is very difficult to determine the scale from the pictures on the websites.

      is the scale of miniatures in the c/s set the same as the 1939-1945 set, i have a t-35 that i think is from the c/s set and it is the same scale as 1939-1945,

      on the occasion of an invasion of a multi-nationally defended region, would the attacker have to divide their army to attack each opposing army seperately, i.e. if the u.k. and the u.s. have 2 infantry and 1 armor each in india, and japan attacks with an army of 3 infantry and 3, armor would japan have to divide their forces and defeat both defending armies to capture the territory.
      i think these rules could have the game moving at a faster pace, i like the n.a. rule also where an n.a. is picked on every turn.

      yeah, i think it is a good idea, i suppose you could have many MyKey’s and set the chip differently for different drivers.
      does it recognise when there is less than the capacity in the car, so as you dont have to buckle all the belt’s.
      i think a lot of the technology you mentioned will be common in the not too distant future. i.e fingerprint technology and preset location’s for mirror’s and seat’s.
      i think the idea of calling a cellphone to start a car is too extreme. good idea from ford.

    • Railroad transport

      i am thinking of implemementing a railroad system into my axis and allies game, as a house rule, i was thinking of maybe 7 different railroad’s, 1 in the s.u., 1 in the u.s., 1 in africa, 1 in asia, 1 in the middle east, and 2 in europe, i think they would work like this, they can only be used in the noncombat phase and can carry double a transport ship’s capacity.
      excluding armor, the train’s could move 2 or 3 spaces and it would cost 1 ipc for every unit on the train, therefore a train with 2 infantry and 2 artillery would cost 4 ipc’s, and i think only 1 train per railroad every turn.

      yeah there is a difference, the veteran paratroop model has its gun facing upwards against its shoulder, and the standard paratroop has its gun facing forward and looks like it is ready to charge.

      yeah, if your friend’s computer can move a file from the picture catalogue, to the painting or editing program, they should be able to attach it to an email, and send it to your email, for example when you recieve the email there would be a file attached, this would read something like this, image attached, scan and download? then you would have the option of save or open, when opened you should be able to view the picture in zoom mode. i dont think it has to be downloaded to be viewed. there would be a very small picture of the image attached to the email, ( too small to be viewed without opening the file ). i checked on my email, the pictures are downloaded to a temporary folder, but are not saved on the computer. you would have to ask the internet cafe manager if that would be acceptable.
      remember it does not need to be downloaded and saved on the computer and the small image is saved with your email and can be viewed at any time. im not sure of the name of the program, although i think most computers run this program.

      alright, thank’s, i was’nt sure because i was playing a game recently and had paratroops, starting and in reinforcements.
      it was a three objective game, i claimed and held 1 objective and conquered and held the second, my opponent started shoving units forward and left the objective he held guarded with only one unit, i had already deployed my reinforcements, including paratroop reinforcements, i deployed them straight away, because i was’nt sure of the rule.
      anyway i dropped down my one remaining paratrooper, which i held from the start of the game, beside a forest about 2 hexes from the final objective, i managed to hold out on the other 2 objectives, and scramble to the last before my opponent could regroup.
      i think the paratroops add a great element to the game, always keeping players guessing and moving until they are deployed.

      when placing paratroop’s are they all placed at the same time, or can i keep some in reserve to use on later turns?.
      same question again regarding reinforcement paratroop’s.

      i would definetely recommend the starter set, you need it for the maps and rule book and counter’s etc.
      then you would probably need some booster pack’s, and after playing a few games decide if you want to concentrate on building specific armies or collecting all the armies, i would also recommend checking out the avalon hill miniatures database
      , it has all the individual units stats and “cost”, there is a link to it in this forum, check it out in the miniatres discussion board, under the topic of sniper abilities. also check out the avalon hill website for stat changes and rules faq.

      thank’s for the information, it will probably take about 12 hours to download all of that.
      can you help me, i need stats for engineers and axis commanders for a game tomorrow, i dont have any yet, but they are needed for this game, i have lots of allied commanders, and there will be need for demolition’s in the scenario.
      are there axis engineers or only allied engineers. and if anyone has stats for a screaming eagle paratrooper captain, i could use that aswell, i have one, but without the stat card. i would’nt ask but i dont have the time today to download all the stats.

      do the card’s effect the entire map or specific region’s only?.
      may i suggest using seperate deck’s of weather condition’s i.e. (storm’s, snow, cloudy skies, as you said)
      tailored to specific region’s or groups of region’s, and sea zone’s,
      then drawing a number of card’s each turn, and placing marker’s in the region’s to identify the weather condition’s.
      this way you can draw multiple weather condition’s for multiple region’s on a single turn, and even have multiple weather in one region, causing major disruption.

      i downloaded some stat card’s from the internet, i was reading them and saw that sniper’s have abilities such as sniper scope, head shot and hunted, heres the thing i have some sniper’s and they do not have these abilities, are these new abilities for units, because i am thinking of getting some new units based on these stat card’s,though not if these stats are wrong.i cant remember where i got the stats, it could even have been from this website.

      thank’s, i think i will try these rules, the aarhe variant look’s ideal, the aare option is good aswell, because i have in the past bought 4 dice, and missed, then bought another 2 or 3 dice and missed again, and lost a lot of ground in the process.
      and by the next research tech phase, i cant risk the ipc’s on more tech roll’s.

      -The first time you roll for a particular Tech, you MUST purchase a minimum of 4 rolls that turn
      -The second time you roll for that Tech, you MUST purchase a minimum of 2 rolls that turn, but you receive the Tech automatically
      -You MAY purchase ALL 6 rolls in ONE turn, and receive the Tech automatically
      -In all cases, Tech doesn’t come into effect until the Mobilize Units Phase you receive it (as per LHTR rules)

      in this scenario, it means that after 6 roll’s, if they are all unsuccessful the tech is developed regardless.
      can this be used in conjunction with the official rule aswell, you know, if i need tech and i am low in ipc’s, if i have only 5- 15 ipc’s to spare can i spend that and take my chances and try to get tech with only 1 dice roll?.,

      @Rakeman:

      You could try implementing the AA50 tech rules if you want.  (Every 5 IPC gives you a tech token, for every tech token you have in weapons development, you roll a die for your tech, once you get the tech discard all tokens).  That guarantees you will get the tech eventually.

      does that mean that i can buy tech tokens and save them until a later round and roll as many dice as i want for 1 tech or can i buy tech tokens for multiple techs and roll for them on any round?.
