You folks have seriously hijacked this topic . . .
Now, back on topic, construction lawyer specializing bailing out people like Dezrtfish (i.e., estimators, project managers, construction companies generally, etc.) :-)
Had the reverse happen, actually. Construction lawyer tried to bankrupt myself and my company because the client ordered the wrong materials and the end result was a failure. Luckily, I documented EVERYTHING and kept all the voicemails. (I couldn’t afford my own guy like you to defend me. :( )
Sadly, I can’t afford me either. :-P
Priced yourself right out of your own budget, eh?
he’s a lawyer ain’t he? :-P

islamofascist is not a racest statment, it is a statment that targets a group of people that combined a religion and ideal to make a dangorous combination.
it is a group of fascist that hide behind religion. if it was Christians doing the same and saying it was the will of God then there would be no one calling it racest or any thing else if it was refeired to as Christofascism (or some other idea of the same). there would still be thouse saying it’s wrong, but there always will be.
the only other way to group this radical group together would be in another name that would even be called racist like Islomic extreamist, or Islomic Terrorist, or some other name. the target of the name is a group with in Islam (not the whole group and i have never heard any one say that it targets the whole group except those opposed to it’s name) that is extream or fascist.actually they call those christians crusaders but whatever.

You can’t say S. korea is a did not benift from the korean war. look at south korea and its economy and its people then look at Kim JOng’s countrymen and thier economy. Then tell me the korean war was a total faliure. also s. Vietnam would be just likeas prosporous. And the whole nations of Vietnam or Korea would be so much happier if it was led by the south’s government. Yet no one is concern that the vietnamese and the north koreans are still oppressed by the iron fist of communism.

Eh…your vote doesn’t matter anyway in the Pres. election.
Unless you are on the electoral college.Come-on? You are far too cynical.

What whacko pollsters were you getting? Rasmussen and Gallup both had a significant lead for Romney over McCain in Florida.
Anyway, Illinois has more delegates then Florida and we’re just one of what, 22 states running on Tuesday?
its important because it will give the winers momentum.

I don’t know if you any of you watch road to america: freedom to fascism. but I am thinking about getting my driving permit and then license. But are licenses really ethical ( not Jenn’s definition  lol) Also all these regulations and arbritary laws that we must follow what are they good for expect restricting freedom? I guess why does anyone have the right to regulate us and strip our freedoms in today’s society, is it really a necessary price. so I want the ethicalness and morality of system of society to be disscussed. not for it to go political with the patriot act is running us, Osama bin laden wants you to think that, and so on.
edit: i guess the main theme of this topic would be things that our society just accepts but shouldn’t. like being subjected to random drink and drive testing and the baning of alcohol on Sunday but not the other days.

Looks like I had the McCain/Romney spread dead-balls on (3% McCain lead in the mid-30% range with half the votes counted).
But I overstated Huckabee’s support by several percent…
doesn’t look good for Guiliani.

Yea, Mollari and I like to put British Industrials in Egypt when Africa is good and secure and Germany’s gone into 100% defense mode. It’s a good way to A) stop Japan from assaulting Egypt around your stacks and B) put British units on the ground in a useful spot.
Quothe the US Marine after crossing the Sahara, storming the Nile Valley and plowing through the middle east: “All your base are belong to us!”
I meant a Japanese IC in egypt. that way the can put use of thier nacvy and intervine in teh Med, secure africa and put pressure on the caucuses.

@Cmdr:
Incorrect. China is the other energy superpower and won’t let the US Gobble everything up.
China is the reason we have to pay more at the pump, they’re importing fossil fuels faster then any other nation and burning them up in a very inefficient manner polluting the air for generations without regard for the well being of other nations.
Meanwhile, the United States has been working on more efficient, cleaner methods of producing energy for well over 3 decades now starting back in the Days of Richard Nixon continuing through Reagan, Bush1, Clinton and Bush2. Though, because we are Americans, the world will never give us the credit we are due and blame us for all their woes. It’s the penalty you get for being on top.
I never said China wasn’t but would they risk a war with America? they have the pipeline from russia, all the oil in south east pacific and can gobble up all teh neglected places in the world. (like nigeria) also they are like the world’s leader producer of coal or something.

RE: Mountainous/snowy defender bonusposted in House Rules
mountainous
West Canada, Western US, and Mexico all seems to be 75%+ mountains
the benchmark is also whether the population centres are in the mountainous regions
this seems to be true for Western Canada and Mexico?you didn’t mention Japan
you don’t agree with Japan being mountainous?I said western canada. I say no to western US because the major cities are on the coast. any invader of the west could care less about Colorado, New mexico and all that. Your right Mexico should be mountainous. I accidently left Japan out but high it should be mountainous.
and I love Jenn’s idea of making only Russia being able to move more than one space in red territory.

Cyan: Iran dosn’t come near Russia’s border, Kazakstan, ect are there now.
What about Aulstralia!? lol
Or mabye we’ll all just die when an asteroid the size of Texas hits us
Australia wlil do what it and Canada, and arguably the US has always done: “God save the queen!”
Azerbaijan separates Iran and Russia. This is not a very big country at all. also a boat or air trip in the Caspian sea also connect Russia and Iran. Russia has always had the idea of buffer states as an important part of its foreign policy. Russia is also a energy superpower and will want to have more and more control over the world;s energies supplies and won’t just tolerate the US gobble everything up.

RE: World War Three!?posted in General Discussion
I think it will start with Iran vs. Israel. Russian who basically borders IRan can not and will not tolerate the iranian regime being traken over by a pro-US goverment. So when Iran develops a nuclear reactor and Israel out of self preservation blows the thing up like they did in Iraq then it all depends how Iran reacts. Iran would most likely declare war so it doesn’t look like a wimp being bullied a state “that doesn’t really exist”. Then it depends on how fast it escalates and the neighbors, ( if IRaq is still US friendly). It becomes basically one big regional war. then US and Russia must interevine. Chavez will probably react crazily, ( oil trade is now unstable and they now are the producers.) which might led to columbian intervention on the behalf of the US and then South america just decays. THe EU will side with AMerica and depending on how bad things are in the middle east a eurpeon front might be opened. If russia is directly declared war open then China will responde and then Japan and them.
another option is if india has to intervene in Pakistan it becomes nuclear. also a naval accident occurring between the US or Japan and China is also possible.
In any case i can see west and central africa being the only major places who are neutral. Also India, Brazil and Indonesia seem sorta flip floppy and could join either side. After a major nation is on the brink of collapse a nuclear attack will happen in a desperate attempt for that country to maintain sovereignty. I think WWIII will result in alternative fuel, world ran by officially corporations, the basic extinction of ISlam and Judasim. Sever population reductions, and South Africia, US, Brazil, Japan, India, UK, France, Italy, and kazahastan becoming the world leaders. Europe may not come out on top if there is a nuclear cloud. Italy will deviantly have the religious power over the world. But cancer rates, and famine, and global temperature will affect the world population.( funny if nuclear clouds and global warming cancel each other out) Also currency concerns will be problem. ( if all the jews are dead then who will handle the money?) lol real reason is inflation and the inability for the government to back the money, thats why cooperation will be the main force. basically a global feudalism.

A Japanese IC in Egypt would be intreseting( especially with the battleships and carriers in teh med) but usalully the only place i put an IC is in India. I try to make it fall as soon as possible then put one there but if India holds out, i put in FIC very very reluctantly.
edit: anyone every put an IC in egypt and sent their navy into the med?

RE: Mountainous/snowy defender bonusposted in House Rules
You need something to represent the difficulty of Japan conquering China and I think that would be a great way to do it other than dividing the land up.
but for mountainous it would be Sinkiang, Norway( in addition to snowy) , western canada (rockies), algeria, italian east africia, Persia, and your neutrals: Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Peru, Argentinathe reason why those russian territories should be snowy is because of the general winter thing. Also if you have snowy then you have to have turns. like on turn 2, 5, 8, 11 etc. snowy takes place.
-
RE: Mountainous/snowy defender bonusposted in House Rules
Sinkiang should be mountians
snowy: karerilia, norway, west russia, moscow, archanlesk, yakut, evenki,
and maybe have tropical for like southeast asia. -
