    • RE: Axis & Allies Guadalcanal

      @SSG:

      Unless there is more information than a major battle in the Pacific, it could be any number of the islands or sea battles (Iwo Jima, Guadacanal, Saipan, Tinian, Battle of the Coral Sea, The Marianas Turkey Shoot, Okinawa, and many others)  How about a fictionalized invasion of the Japanese home islands?  The battle plans for the invasion and Japan’s defense are available, now from archives.  Secret weapons available for the Japanese could even the balance of power (without the A-bomb).

      There are several interesting possibilities.  It should be an interesting game. :-D

      rune blade has done something like that. its posted somewhere in here.

      @Bashir:

      And I mean 9 other inf in eur… not 5 tanks and save 2 ipcs…

      @ Switch lets drop the whole AS thing… He is not worth it making this much trouble over it…

      well i’m going doing the opposite of what you said. 3 tanks,1inf to e. europe, 1 tank to germany and 2inf to libya 4tanks and 2 inf =20+9ipc the last ipc goes to germany.

    • New player

      hello i am trying to learn how to play i have a couple of questions. if a tank is in between 2 unfriendly infantry the infs can’t shoot each other. but if a infantry or artillery was between them it wouldn’t matter? also is there a way to play this by email?  the rules are sorta confusing and they lead me to think an adjacent inf cannot be attacked by a tank (on the tanks assault turn) but the inf can attack it. I’m assuming you do your whole turn then the other player does his turn. do disrupted units get fixed at all if so when. thank you like i said  don’t really understand the rules. if this should go in player help sorry(thought only the aa board games went there)

      @ncscswitch:

      From the main forums page near the bottom click “Members List”

      Then click the column header “Posts” once and it will sort all 4300 and some odd members from most posts to least.

      as of now that makes me number 100 atnumber of posts. assuming theirs 30 peoplr per page. you should be able to sort by average post per day. so 250 is a tank?

      Then there were all the flames she spewed against rational conservatives that disagreed with the propaganda, so much so some of us had to just start annoying the moderators with reports because it was getting really bad for a while.

      @Bashir:

      Lol MD will cream you :P

      I predict:
      Rus strafes down UKR on R1 => leaving 1 arm and 1 fig in ukr. No way you can push on G1 => Bye bye Eur bid
      UK kills Afr force on turn 1. 3 inf and 1 arm (just say you took wol) vs 3 inf, 1 fig and 1 bomb => Bye bye Afr bid
      You can’t spare 2 inf from Eur to invade Egy with…

      The Idea alone to waste 15 IPC’s on arms is just funny…

      fine i don’t need 2inf in Africa. make it 4tanks in eastern Europe and 2 inf in Manchuria. and then 1 ipc to germany. still 27 ipc but with more tanks. :-D  i rarely use a battle sim. usually only to decide if it would make a difference if i risked my planes to aa’s for a battle.

      @MADDOGG:

      You’re right squad, you are not that good. And neither was smith. He just pretended to be good but then backed down and disappeared when the going got tough on the rare occasion he could muster up the balls to play someone.

      But i  am  :-D i would gladly beat you with 2 inf to Manchuria 2 inf to Libya and 3 tanks to E. Europe. for a total of 27 ipc.

      Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.

      the worst thing is when your lone bomber or fighter gets killed by a transport and you don’t even hit it.

    • RE: Finally, what should i do whit italy

      @Imperious:

      China has no story line in the war. They just sit and take loses from the japanese empire like a punching bag. At least italy went and attacked Greece and the British in Africa and had a dream of another roman empire. They also sent troops in the Soviet Union and helped Spain win the war in 36’ China would have probably beaten Italy in a land war but italy had a huge navy and air force… essentially a modern army run by horrible incompetent leadership. They were by far a complete military power compared with China.

      why couln’t japan concur all of china then. if the chinease were so bad. i don’t think japan had many tanks. i think there sould be a rule that would make tanks harder for japan. like reinsate the whole transport rule. tanks were hard for transport s to carry so why would the game promte the use of tanks. most of the tanks would get killed in amphibous landings anyway.

      i think this would be easier in classic than revised but i’m guessing you play revised.  i don’t think it would be worth it germany can only loss 16ipc a turn. if you do 1bmb for italy and 2 bmb for germany thah is  16- 7.5ipc = 13.5 ipc. plus the fact you are going ot loss 4ipc for any aa hits 1/6 * averge bomber damge is 6ipc * 3or 3ipc. sp ypur at 10.5 ipc so far. to build 2 bmb thats 30 ipc. it takes 6*5ipc to obtian heavy bobmers or another 30ipc. it would take you 6 turns to be 3ipc up. your probbablly going to need 2 bombers for italy anyway to get 16ipc.

      okay addintial rules to the Out of the box rules are subs can blockade
      for every Enemy SUB within 1 SZ of (ie. directly adjacent to) an IC owned by that respective country, subtract 2IPC from their collected income… If a SUB became submerged during this TURN’s Conduct Combat Phase, it does not do ANY economic damage.

      when indochina and persia are attacked for the 1st time they recieve 3 free inf. if israel is attacked e. us recive 1 free inf and persia recives 2 free inf.

      i’m not sure about this one but it adds some balence. any terroty europe or america takes must have 1 unit it at the end of each round. or the terroy is restored to its orginial owner. the same also applies to any terroty with an ic in it for all the nations.

    • RE: Modern axis and allies

      europe is finished.
      Europe:

      1. Russian paranoia
        fear of a nuclear armageddon during the cold war European radar was designed to detect any air movement.  European owned antiaircraft guns in tan territories hit air units on a 2.
      2. France assassination.
        Now that France has been taken over by the oppressed Muslim population you may pay 8 ipc and roll one dice in the begging of your turn. If you roll a one France now becomes under your control. If any attack on France has occurred already you may not do this.
      3. Nato bases
        Turkey and Africa served a drop off point for Nato troops. It only costs 8 ipc to build a factory in South Africa, and Turkey.
