Ummm… if Italy has been bombed, they can’t build ANYTHING, at all, during that turn, no matter what they build. Just thought I’d point that out.

For myself, I like to hit the Hawaii and the India fleet, as well as the 4 Chinese territories available to me. This means China is mine! No more qualms. For buying, I like to take 2 tech and 3 trans. Turn 2, I move 2 trans to Philipines, and 2 to FIC, pushing further into China, and moving to Burma as well. This lets me hit both India and Australia turn 3. Of course, this isn’t always an option, depending on how the Allies react, but it is nice :). Say the Americans bolster Australia, I’d move all 4 trans to FIC to absolutely NAIL india. In any case, by turn 4, I usually take control of India, Australia, and Hawaii, and the east coast of Africa. The big trick is getting transports into the sea. People like the industrial complexes, but those can wait. They aren’t mobile. Does it really make a difference if you can produce those 3 tanks in Manchuria turn 2?

I can’t seem to open any AA50 using Abattlemap…
can someone help me?
I can open the program, edit everything, open '42 and '41, save it all, but I cannot open any saved files or downloaded files. It simply opens to Axis and Allies (Original?) start, regardless of what I open. I don’t know what to do. I have reinstalled it 3 times now.

I’d say…
I’ve only got Axis and Allies: Europe and Axis and Allies: Anniversary Edition, but I’ve only just discovered A&A a year ago! It’s all I can think of… I have a permanent station in my family’s basement, fully laid out and everything. I’m only 15 as well.
My friend and I will probably become fullfledged A&A addicts within several years :| -

What does that stand for?
I see ppl in the “Play by Forum” forums who attach their maps with this type of program. What is it, and where do I get it from? It’s an attachment thingy that goes something like…

I find a KGF strategy really puts the damper on things against the Germans. A shuck across from East CAN to France works really nice as well, you only need about 10 trans to reach max shipping, since its a 2way push, with land units legging it to Canada to load the trans and head across, no 3way transport system.(I go with a “load” buying system buying loaded transports per turn till max prod is reached: 1 inf,1 tank, 1trans = 15 IPC) Britain has to focus ALL on aiding Russia. Build a fleet capable of defending the American transports. (41 IPC = 2CV + 1 Fig) and get American fig land on remaining space. Throw rest of fleet there, and ignore the Italians. Bomb the *&#@ out of Italy, and make the Germans pay for their factory in France as soon as possible. If they are turtling like most ppl say, then Russia needs to take their territories back ASAP top priority. A 6 tank build works beautifully 1st turn, followed by inf/art build = 28 IPC 4 inf/4art. With Italy not building anything, and a shuck that’s full blast by US turn 3, Germany will scarse have the income to match. (30 IPC max, w/o NO)
that’s only 10 inf a turn!!!I’d like to handle this force :P

I know, I just read up on the military history of various nations to get a vague idea of Canadian placement in terms of this… turns out India lost more people than Great Britain! They had a standing army of 2 500 000 by the end of the war!

I understand all the talk about game balance, that’s why I’ve never really protested the historical imbalance of Canada’s assistance in the war as represented in the Axis and Allies series. If UK gets all of this, plus all of the ‘1’ territories making up Africa, then the strategically important Pacific islands, she’d be way overpowered.
But if people want to start increasing the power of the Commonwealth in view of the colonies for historical truth, then Canada should definitely be upgraded.
I’ll look into making a mod for Canada.
P.S. One thing I’ve always wondered… what’s the point of the 8 IPC value of Borneo and the East Indies. Why are they worth so much? At the time (and still today), they were nothing but isolated European settlements and mountainous rain forest. Hardly any industrial power there. Why so much then? For Japan to take?
