…lol where is TG? I mentioned him in my rambling at the top, and I see no one has nominated him or even brought him up (even though he is the top poster). I dont mean where is he in the rankings, but is he even on these boards any more? I see his last posting was April 14th, 2003. Anybody know?

RE: Who will win the Stanley cup?
I dunno a thing about hockey, but I’d cheer for the ducks, lol since I liked The Mighty Ducks movie when I was a kid :wink: . Well, either that or I’d cheer for the ones who had the coolest looking jerseys.

RE: Marriage/Kids
And nobody knows – nobody – where the next Einstein will be born, nor to whom.
nuts to that, I want another Adam Sandler, for when this one dies :)! But nope I think that’s a good point. I’m not saying people should just keep trying and popping out more babies just so their odds are better or anything though, lol. I agree with ya though, nothing wrong with having kids.
And D:S, I’m sure we all agree with you that “marriage does not automatically mean you have to have children”. Well I hope everyone agrees. If you read the posts, you’ll see that this is more about when a good time is in your life to get married, and when a good time is to have kids (if you’re looking to do both of those things, and you believe you’ve already found the right person.)

RE: Sports… my thoughts...what are yours?
@El:
How about how well Mike Tyson thinks and talks now(he’s only 40!)
hahahaha…did you see the show just yesterday about him, on The Pulse? Hilarious :lol: “yeah well now I wish I really did rape that b*tch and kill her mother, I hate her” lol the whole show is stuff like that. That guy’s quality entertainment

RE: MORE Questions I'd Like Answered…
Nah, lol but if I have a slight excuse to take out the molotov cocktails and create some chaos, then I’ll go for it :wink:

RE: Your nominations for quality A&A posters…
Good choice on Soon_U_Die…always thought pretty much all of his posts were worth saying, and of good quality.

RE: World leaders come late to Prez Reagan's Star Wars…
Jeepers :) I think we can all agree that “ctm” is right. Let’s leave it at that

RE: Your nominations for quality A&A posters…
Hmmm that’s tough. Havent really been around enough to say, but it’s somethin to think about! I wouldn’t nominate myself even if I could, lol because I know I break into pointless stories or stuff about movies, and can get off topic :wink:
actually El Jefe, if you continue at this rate…cuz for the amount of posting you do, I’d say you make a good contribution to this site.
And it’s about quality not quantity, so TG doesnt get an automatic spot in the top 3…although no offense TG, I’d say you do contribute pretty good quality posts. I don’t think I could name the top 3 though, I was just thinkin out loud

RE: Foundations of UN or First Computer More Important?
@El:
Uh, Xi, are you talkin’ ta me? Some of these shortened nicks are confusing me. CC… c_c_ … cys… etc. Sometimes your short forms are a gas!
LJ, well, I guess I can live with that.
Heh heh, luckily I took the liberty of already shortforming my name 8) ! (ctm is my initials…or is that “are” my initials? :-? ) actually someone please answer that, cuz now it’s torturing me.

RE: Heavy Bomber Limit(please, respond!)
good point CC. lol but i only play axis and allies against myself, no one I know around here plays…so when I roll heavy bombers, oooh first exciting, then it’s “aw damnit”. Actually it’s all excitement, because I think it makes the game really interesting. And you should see me kick my own ass, I’m pretty good at it. My brother plays though, and he’ll be moving back here in august.

RE: Sports… my thoughts...what are yours?
Hmmm yep, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some of his stuff on CD. However that sports stuff I was quoting was from one of his books: “Napalm and Silly Putty” 8)

RE: Marriage/Kids
@El:
(RELIGIOUS BELIEFS MUST BE VERY SIMILAR or when you have kids and they see you believe differently they will often believe NOTHING.)
hmmm…but since both of us believe in the same thing (which is nothing, really) lol is that good or bad? My dad isn’t a Christian, my mom is. I grew up with both of them my whole life (well, they got divorced in 1996 or 1997) I believed in God, read the bible, then just quit about 3 years ago for no real reason. lol just got tired of it, and I couldnt make myself believe in it anymore.

RE: Plans for a next war and/or arrogance of the powerful?
They should make mini-mini-mini-mini nukes, that you can buy for like 5 bucks a piece, and they fit in your pocket.
On the way to grandma’s and the kids are pestering you from the backseat? Heck! Just take out the mini-nukes and let them have a nuclear war with each other. Bonus! If they use enough nukes on each other and get sick, they’d lose their appetite! That’ll reduce those grocery bills.

RE: Heavy Bomber Limit(please, respond!)
I like both of those alterations (on the heavy bomber tech, and the industrial tech). But I’d let the one heavy bomber roll 4 or 5 dice instead of 3…I’m not sure what my reasoning is for this, it just seems like it’d be more menacing! That way heavy bombers could still really pack a punch. That 1 bomber could do a lot of damage, so everyone would keep an eye on it, and it would just be cool. (i realize 3 dice is a pretty big punch as is, but like I said, lol i’m not sure what my reasoning is for this)

RE: Sports… my thoughts...what are yours?
@El:
Didn’t Carlin talk about how so many activities we call sports aren’t? Or was that someone else?
Yes! :D here’s some of it:
Hockey comes to mind. People think hockey is a sport. It’s not. Hockey is three activities taking place at the same time: ice skating, fooling around with a puck, and beating the shit out of somebody.
If these guys had more brains than teeth, they’re do these things one at a time. First you go ice skating, then you fool around with a puck, then you go to the bar and beat the shit out of somebody. The day would last longer, and these guys would have a whole lot more fun.
Another reason hockey is not a sport is that it’s not played with a ball. Anything not played with a ball can’t be a sport. These are my rules, I make 'em up.Soccer. Soccer is not a sport because you can’t use your arms. Anything where you can’t use your arms can’t be a sport. Tap dancing isn’t a sport. I rest my case.
Boxing is not a sport either. Boxing is a way to beat the shit out of somebody. In that respect, boxing is actually a more sophisticated form of hockey. In spite of what the police tell you, beating the shit ouf of somebody is not a sport. When police brutality becomes an olympic event, fine, then boxing can be a sport.
Bowling. Bowling isn’t a sport because you have to rent the shoes. Don’t forget, these are my rules. I make 'em up.
:lol: That’s just some of it though. He also does running, swimming, sailing, billiards, darts, lacrosse, field hockey/fencing, gymnastics, polo, hunting, tennis, volleyball, and golf. If you wanna hear any, just lemme know!

RE: Warhammer 40,000
It’s a pretty interesting hobby dezrtfish. Games Workshop is the company that makes this stuff…you might be able to find that store in ur city. Or a place called “Nexus” and just look around, they always have displays and a big gaming table set up. Here’s the website for Warhammer 40k:
http://www.games-workshop.com/40kuniverse/warhammer40k/warhammer40k.htm
Just look through the site. On the lefthand side there, it lists the different armies. hmmm as for cost…it’s been awhile since I’ve bought any Warhammer stuff, just trying to remember. An army can be huge, if you want it to be. You buy individual vehicles, or maybe squads of 15 people, or you can buy a good starter set for a particular army. I suggest buying the starter set, then building on that. I’m sure you can find a good army-building guide on the website. If you DO end up making your own army, think you could send some pics? I’d be interested in seeing

RE: The Matrix: Reloaded
lmfao…someone posted this comment on the message boards for Matrix: Reloaded at imdb.com. I had to repost it here, haha it just cracks me up. I doubt anyone else will laugh as hard as I did, but thats ok :wink:
“Have you guys noticed how great the Keymaker is. He is so small and quick. The man can run faster than two full grown, physically fit adults; and he has to open the doors! Sure one might think that scurrying around doesnt make a person interesting, but this guy is always out of harms way(until the end of course). It is so great when Neo and Morpheus are fighting the Smiths in the hall and the Keymaker leaves and comes back through another door, damn now thats quick thinking. The guy is also extremely handy he can get you a key to anything, and a person can carry him around with out a problem. He is like one big key you can keep in your pocket, and use on any door.”
lmfao its just hilarious to me :lol: :lol:

:o nope, missed Ali at the olympics opening…last time i saw him on tv he was on some talk show with Will Smith, they were talking about Ali (the movie). I loved that movie! Also got this documentary on Ali…haha and at the grocery store, I always put my receipts in the charity box for Parkinsons disease (Ali has it), damn I’m devoted.
lol and yes, Mike Tyson’s certainly an interesting character :) “i’m gonna eat his children” lmao I love it

RE: Marriage/Kids
Thanks a lot guys.
in regards to religion, we’re definitely on the same page with that! Both used to go to church, read the bible, etc., but now we dont believe in any religion at all. We’ve talked about that lots before, so no worries there.
