      And what about heavy tank???
      Worthless???

Naaaa… If you don’t like technology maybe it’s because you don’t know how to used it.
More tech you have better it is.
Your chance to win are much better if you get new tech.

One thing is sure, the german player cannot win only with rocket.

      Cruiser to transport infantry.
Hum……I’m not a fan of that.

I know japanese used destroyer to transport troops.
Tokyo express it’s a good national advantage for japenese but give the same opportunity
      to the allies. Not realistic.
That’s a reason why a introduce liner ship in my game.

      8 for a carrier???

      Ouch…that’s realy cheap.

But there’s also a cheap solution to sink a cheap carrier.

      One special unit.
      …Homing pigeon!!!

    • RE: Naval Units

In my WAW games i added.

heavy & light cruiser, escort carrier, destroyer and escort (escort may be use as a mine layer)
But there’s also, Oil tanjker Att= 0, Def =1, move = Increasing warship movement to 3 sea zone.

      As a UK special unit= Liner ship. Att: 0, Def=2, move= 3.
Liner ship may transport 4 infantry but cannot be use for amphibious assault.

    • RE: Cards

      Ok here’s an example.

Let see, The Allies player may get a card with the mention:

      • ARTIC ICE BLOCUS.
Warship cannot move in or out of the barent sea zone.

      • SOCIETY OF NATION SANCTION.
You must pay 5 IPC to the bank if you attack a neutral country.

      or ….

      • DUM TORPEDOES
Sub’s first shot attack is nullified.

      • BAD WEATHER OVER EUROPE.
Combat or non combat movement are not allowed over the european continent.

      Axis player…

      • SANDTORM!
Ground unit can’t move out of Lybia.

      • VOLKSTRUM.
Add two infantry in Eastern Germany.

      • HITLER’S GIFT.
Add 1 japanese sub in japan sea zone.

      • MUSSOLINI PUSCH
Remove 1 italian infantry in southern italy.

I added to my own WAW game.
      Light bomber.
      Air transport.
      Stuka.
      Navy and air force fighter.

For the carrier i don’t agree.
Come on guys, A carrier cannot attack!!!

Carrier defend at 3, Move 2, 2 hit, 2 airplanes.
      Escort carrier = defend at 2, move 2, 1 hit. 1 airplane.

    • RE: Cards

      Yes it’s fun and unpredictable.

Weather condition like Hurricane in the atlantic, typhoon in the pacific. big fog over england.
      Free weapons development.
      Free new units.
      Dow Jones crisis.
      Resistances activities.
      Oil production problem and more……

Yes…I added oil territory in the game.
When all the powers are at war, player’s get penalities if they lost all their oil territory.
It’s more hard for axis players because only italy has 1 oil territory at the begining of the game. Nothing for germany and japan. So it’s race for oilfield.

    • RE: Minor Countries; Italy, France, and China

Well i choose another way to make my map.

      I bought a world map (4 x 6). -$30.00-

I repainted the territories with oil paint except the ocean ( Because the ocean has the proper blue color) -$10 for the oil paint-
Than I recovered the whole map with a clear self-adhesive vinyl to protect the map and bingo!

Sorry i forgot that some of you play A&A 1942 version.

But even at the end of 1942, the fact are the same…
The german army has 3 millions men on the eastern front.
USSR 5 millions and more. General Winter or not. Hitler lost his chance in december in 1941.

    • RE: Naval Range like airforce?

I used the tanker rule to do so.
If you have a tanker. (Cost 4 IPC) Your naval fleet can make a 3 sea zone movement.
The tanker has no attack capability but defend on a 1 against warship.
      No defence against sub!!!.
The limit is 3 tanker per player.
      For sub lovers,  it’s a must….

    • RE: Railroads and Oil

I have railroads and oil fleld territory on my A&A game.
(I’m a railfan since 20 years so it was normal to incorporate railraod on my game.
I found a lot of info on the net about railroad line in 1939.
So i incorporated european, asian and american railroad line on my map.

      Here’s my house rules.
Each player can move infantry and artillery by railroads.
      1 units per territory.
During the non combat movement, infantry and/or artillery can make a 2 two zones move.  The player must use is own railway he can’t pass throught an ennemy occupied zone.
      There’s one exception. USSR.
The Russian player can move 3 infantries ( Or 3 artillery) because this player has the trans-siberian railway national advantage.

      For oilfiled. It’s simple.
      I have 20 oil territory.
      USSR 2, USA 2, France 2, UK 3, Chana 1,Italy 1, neutral country 9.
If you take possession of an ennemy oil territory. The lost player must pay to the new owner, twice of the value of the territory. example. If the german player occupied Egypt (2 IPC). The UK must pay 4 IPC to the german player.

If a player lost all is oil territory he’s going to get a penalty.
At the beginning of his turn he must roll a dice.
1 or 2: Ground unit cannot attack.
3 or 4 : Air unit cannont attack.
5 or 6 : Naval unit cannot attack.
(No effect for transport and submarine).

Oil is realy important. Infatc, you cannot make the war without that.
      For Hitler itwas too late.

    • RE: New Units

Each country has their onw cost to reflect the economic situation.
For example: US fighter (9 IPC) US Light bomber ( 11) German fighter (10) and
light bomber (12) same situation for naval units and transport.

The cost for the tanker is 4 for eveyone.
I used C In C metal pieces to represent my A&A fleet.
