    • RE: The Effect of British Commonwealth Troops in WWII

Without the commonwealth, the Axis won the war!

The canadians and the others makes a lot of sacrifice to save the brits!

Dieppe still the worst mistake of the allies.

    • RE: Painted Pieces for the Boardgames

Two years ago, I changed most of my Axis and Allies pieces for CinC product, 1/700 airplanes and 1/72 soldier from different manufacturers.
I painted the infantries, airplanes, tanks and warships with the real paint scheme and/or camouflage).
Everything…… except artillery, subs and AA gun.

My german, US and Russian tank are decorated with 1/285 decals from Microscale.
I rebuilted most of the japanese,US and UK carrier.

    • RE: Bombers can't participate in naval battles.

In my game, the players can buy light bomber.
Attack at 3 against ground units and attack at 2 against warships.

      The bombers cannot attack warships.
But the Condor and the B24 are special units.
German and USA player can buy some after the fifth round.

I like the of the B24
For the light bomber, I go for the JU 88.

For the dive bomber, well the choice is realy easy…JU 87!

    • RE: Montreal event

      Well here’s the result.

      After 16 turn.
      It’s a draw!
USSR repulsed all the Axis attack.
England/France lost his colonies and India but keep the control of the atlantic ocean.
Japanese keep control of the pacific ocean and shut down China.
USA fails to conquer Europe and Japan.
Germany contol the major part of Europe but cannot go far.
The most surprising story is the strong opposition of Italy.

We were in front of the whale and the elephant situation.

There’s a problem with the Axis power.
      No victory since march 2007!
Japan player is the individual winner of the game.

Next game is schedule for february/march 2009.

    • RE: World at War by Xeno Games

Since 1995, i play that game but i change the rules, the map (4 x 8) and the pieces.
In fact, it’s World at War reveinted.
Don’t have the choice anyway because there’s a lor of error on the map and the pieces are poor.

    • Montreal event

The World at War private club (WAWPC) announce a new game for November 22 in Montreal,QC, canada.

After 11 games the score is:
      5 victories for the axis
      5 Victories for the allies.
      and 1 draw.
But the allies has the momentum. (3-1-1 in the last 5 games).

Only this year, we welcome 3 others members but they must work hard to win against the old players.
      We’ll try to send pictures.

      The gamemaster.

    • RE: Favorite WW2 Fighter Plane

P 38 for his look and for his great purpose.

But i have to admit. The choice is realy hard.
My choice on the pacific front: Vought F4U Corsair and The zero.
Western front: Hawker Typhoon and FW 190.
      Eastern Front: Yak 1

    • RE: Cards

      Well
I added cards to my own World at War game.
It will be hard to make generic cards for all A&A games.

      Yemble…
You have to be sure that the event card is clear.
      So let see.

      -TYPHOON IN THE PACIFIC.
Warhips cannot move in or out of Japan sea zone.

Each turn German and Japan player pick an axis event card and the allies (USSR,USA and UK) make the same.
There’s 52 cards. 28 good and 24 bad for the axis. 26 good and 26 bad for the allies.
