    • RE: US bomber pictures

Fighters should be 1/600 though otherwise they’re too small to handle imo.

      You’re right.
They are a little bit to small but we get used.
      More space for other unit.

    • RE: Mine Fields

Here’s my reply from another topic.

      • House rules-
If a player pass through a sea zone where you put a naval mine, roll 1 dice.
If you get 1, the otehrs player must remove a ship of his choice off the gameboard.

A naval mine cannot sink a ‘‘Two-hit warships’’ (carrier, battleship).
1 sea zone = 1 naval mine per player.
      Naval mine is free.

Only escort or destroyer can remove a magnetic mine.

If they choose not to invest the money then they will not get the techs that they would have been automatically alloted.

      • I prefer ‘’ Player discretion’'.

like each tech could be worth so many research points and 1 research point costs 5 IPCS or something.

      • 5 IPC for each dice, it’s fine.

I’m going to suggest this idea to our club members and gets their feelings.

      do you have pictures?

Yes i have picture of my gameborad and pieces.
I already tried to send my pictures on this site but it doesn’t worked!!! :?

What does transporting thousands of regular infantry and airborne infantry by air to friendly territroy have to do with World War 2?
Germany used transport so many times for reinforce the eastern front.
Same thing in Lybia and in Tunisia during 1943.
US troops used air transport during the guadalcanal battle and in others islands
but of course, the ‘‘air trafic’’ wasn’t the same as vietnam war.

However if they want it sooner they could spend money on research. If other countries wanted rockets they would only get it by spending money on research. If Germany wanted the A-Bomb they would also have to spend money on research whereas the United States would automatically get it in 1945.

Ya Good example. Seriously, I like that.

We should start a new topic about that.

On my world at war 1939 game. 1 turn = 3 months (1 season)
      A timeline chart….not bad.
1943 = heavy tank and heavy artillery (Katioucha) for USSR and Germany player.
1944 =  Jet for Germany, super destroyer for USA and UK + heavy carrrier for USA.

    • RE: Lets Talk Transport Planes

This would not be the case for air transports, they would take up a ton of room like bombers do and they would  only be used for airborne assaults. I just dont c the point, why not just assume airborne infantry have dedicated air transports. Or how about just having a chip that you put underneath airborne infantry to designate as being ready to preform an airborne assault.

I have air transport on my game board. (1/700 scale airplane).
JU 52 for Germany and Italy and Betty for Japan.
      Dakota for USA, UK.
I think it’s a great addition and better than chip.

Well Brain you got a point.

So forget weapon development for heavy tank, heavy artillery or long range aicraft.
A simple timeline for each pieces?
And keep tech roll for A bomb, V1-V2, jet fighter?

Or free tech roll for each player?

      What about that?

    • RE: Lets Talk Transport Planes

so really what we need is a airborne infantry piece not an air transport piece.

Drop a paratropper from a bomber is unrealistic.

The only time air transports and gliders were used in large amounts were during airborne assualts

So what? If a piece like paratrooper can help me to win!
If i’ve the chance to conquer London with paratrooper, I’ll do it!!!

Air transports bore me, just saying.

Well air transports have been used in a lot of battle.
      You can add gliders rules.

    • RE: Lets Talk 2 Types of Tanks

Historically they were developed so ther should be no luck or chance involved in getting them. There should be a timeline board which indicates when each country gets its new technology.

Well it’s not bad idea but we should have the choice get a new weapons before the timeline.
Heavy tank and katioucha in 1942?
      Jet in 1944?
      Heayvy artillery in 1943?

    • RE: Lets Talk 2 Types of Tanks

If USSR only had to pay 6 IPC’s for the heavy tank, then why would they ever buy the regular tank which now costs 6IPC’s.
I think these are technological tanks…requiring a tech breakthrough.

      Bingo!
