Big news! Conquest Gaming has released spare parts & extra components for purchase.

      http://www.conquestgaming.com/warlords/

Their announcement can be viewed here.

I know from personal experience that the customer service at Conquest Gaming is excellent & this gives me yet another reason to send more money their way.

    • Table Tactics' Cromwell 2026

      Hello All,

I set-up this poll to find out if there was any interest in petitioning Jack at Table Tactics to re-print Cromwell 2026.  From all appearances, Cromwell seems to be a quality, self-published game that, if available, I’d be interested in purchasing multiple copies of. This also could be an opportunity to help Jack raise the capital needed for his other A&A projects.

      Thanks for your vote!

Hey guys, just a reminder, there are other uses for the Table Tactics pieces other than just A&A. For example, I’m using them in my collection of Memoir '44 where the scaling is just great. I use the Infantry weapons as SWA’s or to differentiate Italian forces from German forces since DOW hasn’t produced an Italian army as of yet.

I haven’t heard anything on this project in a bit. So, I was just curious where do things stand?

Yeah, read about the Washington Naval Conference of 1921. Japan was given the shaft by the Brits & Americans.

Would you be interested in getting the actual gameboard? I would be willing to sell you one.

I think that you could be ahead of the curve, Jack, if you produce a WWI grand strategy game. I believe that we will see a glut of games covering WWI as the 100th anniversary of opening hostilities is in 2014. Unfortunately, too many people do not understand the significance of this conflict and how the repercussions have affected WWII.  Many people think that WWII is far more interesting than WWI, but they don’t understand that you had to have WWI before you could even have WWII.

    • RE: Maginot Line

That’s too bad. Especially considering the fact the Germans were forced to either outflank or overrun these bastions in order to conquer Western Europe. It’s unfortunate that they don’t seem to care about the actual events that inspired the game.

So, with the game coming out next week, and review copies in the hands of influential individuals, I must ask the question. What have they done concerning the Maginot Line & other fortifications like Eben Emael, & Gibraltar?

I’m more than willing to playtest any game/game components you produce. Plus I will attempt to find other uses for your products.

    • RE: Where to get axis and allies classic

Classic is actually the easiest to come by cheaply. If you don’t want to pay for a sealed copy, you can find several available on e-bay. Try thrift stores & garage sales. You never know when you’ll find a copy for $5.

If you have pieces, I can supply you with everything else you need for Classic (map, charts, IPC’s, rulebook, box). Let me know!

I really like the detail of the various tank models. And as I said I boardgamegeek, I’ll use the infantry pieces in my Memoir '44 game as Special Weapons Assets.

    • RE: Has anyone played with Italy in AAEurope?

      @Funcioneta:

Maybe Crete should be Italian and also the inf there, or you are going to have problems sending that inf to Africa

The Italians never took Crete. It was a major effort by German airborne that took Crete. In short, there should not be an Italian Infantry unit in Crete.

    • Aircraft vs. Submarine rules question

I apologize in advance if this question has been taken care of years ago.

So the rules state (pg.32) that: “…Submarines always fire in the opening fire step, whether on attack or defense. They can fire only on sea units. Casualties from this attack will be destroyed before they can return fire, unless an enemy destroyer is present. (Any sea or air unit can hit a submarine.)” (my emphasis added). Can I take this to mean that air units can attack subs without the need of destroyers? If so, isn’t this a step backwards in the A&A evolution considering the need for destroyers in Europe & Pacific to wrest control of the seas from the submarine menace?

Excellent markers! Has there been any progress regarding the airfields/naval bases? Also, have you guys considered doing AA & IC markers, since this seems to be the trend in the A&A games?
