RE: WWIposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Nice work i rock! I like to see what people do with game design. However, I do have two minor quibbles with your map that you might consider changing for historical continuity.
- Iceland is one word not two (not Ice Land)
- Vichy France did not exist until the fall of France in 1940. You may want to name that territory Southern France or possibly Marseilles?
Just a couple thoughts, but please keep up the good work!

The Mid-East. Quite simply it is an excellent springboard into 4 continents.
Mid-East has several fronts to defend.
I like South Africa, only have to worry about your north fronts. Let others weaken themselves fighting one another, then steamroll over everyone.
True. But one can effectively use the Mid East as a diversion from their main thrust by merely maintaining a garrison there. Any opponents must then maintain forces in the area to counter your armies, thus keeping those armies out of offensive action.

RE: Best Battle Cry Battle?posted in Other Games
Which version are we talking about? Original or the 150th Anniversary edition?

Good point about the mouldings. I didn’t consider the fact that the scale would not lend itself well to gun muzzles.

If I may make a humble request, I’d like to see an A-26 Invader sculpt for a tactical bomber. If possible, I would like the fixed nose versions bristling with machine guns!

I really don’t want to take sides; but should moderators take sides? Seems counterproductive. :|
Someone could argue that the Earth is flat and IL would take that side as long as I was on the other.
What’s counterproductive is the fact that mantlefan here continues to stall with pointless posts & silly arguments. Instead he should be playing Jen to verify this strategy. It seems that he’s afraid to be beat by a girl….

I can see how this could be useful. I’m interested in seeing how this project will develop.

RE: Battlecruisers?posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I would gladly trade my combat dice in for a set of nicely design Hit Dice, with a hit or miss marker behind the pips.
Now that’s a neat idea!! Has anyone manufactured such a die?

RE: Battlecruisers?posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I don’t know, maybe it’s me, but I don’t like the Battlecruiser idea. If for no other reason, they were historically a total failure. Can anyone say Hood??

Yeah, I saw that too. It looks interesting & I hope we will all hear more about it in the coming weeks.

RE: A&A Players Handbookposted in House Rules
I think there are some good ideas here. I would love to have a printed volume that would allow me to look at all the iterations of rules side-by-side.

Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate at the moment. Don’t worry about us here, take care of your stuff at home & hopefully you’ll be back and running soon

I haven’t a clue what your guy’s problem is, but I can play A&A anytime I want. My wife never gives me any crap about my hobbies.

My favorite has to be the Europe. Now I may be biased because it is the first A&A game I ever owned/played….
