      I like the pieces! Looking forward to you bringing these to market. Thank you again for reprinting this neat little title.

      I would go with option C - Partial manufacture without minis. Some sort of box/cover with artwork would be appreciated!

      How about Attack! by Eagle Games? World conquest circa 1935… Or perhaps Dust by Fantasy Flight Games? It is 1947 and the war continues…

      I play some Catan. Actually Star Trek Catan is my preferred game.

      You may also include Warlords of Europe by Conquest Gaming and War and Peace by Worthington Games. Great list by the way!

      @djensen:

      Take out the zombies and AAZ is still a richer game than 1941. More unit types, more territories, and Recruitment Centers.

      Now, that is a valuable piece of information! The fact that, not only is the the game playable sans zombies, but also offers better experience than one of the “canonical” titles does gives one pause before rejecting the concept outright.

      While I completely understand your sentiments, I am personally willing to withhold final judgement/damnation until I actually play it. One of the ideas that does appeal to me is that each nation is, in essence, fighting their own war for survival. Alliances mean nothing if you aren’t there at the end!

      They don’t seem to be too far out of scale to me. Keep in mind that most postwar units were/are larger than their WWII counterparts

      It is interesting how this A&A title has brought out such strong opinions in the community, both for and against….  To paraphrase P.T. Barnum; ‘There’s no such thing as bad publicity’

      @robert:

      Nothing new has been released for WWII A&A since 2012.

      I think A&A Anniv. and Global 1940 are the pinnacle of what you can do with this game.

      I agree with this statement. I believe the A&A franchise has reached it’s developmental end. Whether WOTC wants to admit this or not, the fact that Larry Harris is not even involved with this project is telling….

      Now, there will always be companies like HBG and The War in Vietnam that could or should be the logical successors to A&A; however, I don’t foresee WOTC having the imagination to either pick them up OR build upon their ideas to continue or expand the game.

      Quick Question: Will you also offer a 5-hit die for the Jet-Power tech in the 2nd Edition game?

      I cannot speak to their Me-109, but HBG’s Stukas & Fw-190’s are quite nice…

      I would make sure to order a few extra above what you need to compensate for possible issues.

      HBG has always done right by me.
